Hi @mrrivest,
I’ve taken another look at your website, and as far as I can see, the plugin is installed and loading correctly now 🙂 I’m going to mark this as resolved, but feel free to reach out if you’re still encountering any issues.
Thanks,

Hi @gon88,
I’ve had a look at your website on both desktop and mobile (iOS and Android), and it looks like the Chat plugin is loading fine on all now. I’m marking this question as resolved, but feel free to let us know if you encounter any further issues.
Thanks a lot,

Thanks! You can ask your client to grant you an admin role on the Facebook Page, or they can run the setup process themselves (assuming they have admin access to the WordPress instance).
All the best!

Hi @bekot9,
Be aware that if the domain name changed, you will need to go through the whole setup process again.
Please let us know if this solves your issue.

Hi all,
This has now been fixed. You should be able to send attachments now without difficulty. Please bear in mind that Pages and users classified as being within the EEA are currently restricted from sending attachments (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/messenger-platform/europe-updates).
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Hi @rmt3030,
The message refers to your Facebook Page. Do you hold an administrator role on a Facebook Page?

Hi @shubhids,
I’ve had a look at your site on both a desktop and mobile browser, and it looks like the Chat plugin is functioning correctly. If you don’t want the welcome bubble to pop-out automatically, you can go through the setup process again and configure this.
Going to mark this as resolved now, but do let us know if you have any further questions/issues.
Thanks,

I’ve taken a look at your site, and the Chat plugin seems to be loading up fine 🙂 Can confirm you have installed it correctly.

Thanks.
This page is geo-gated. I suspect the reason you’re able to see the plugin on a desktop browser is probably because you’re logged in to Facebook on that browser (and your account identifies you as being in the allowed region) – whereas on mobile it’s likely you’re not logged in to Facebook, leading to the restriction kicking in (and the plugin not loading).
I would recommend going to the Page settings, and looking at the “Page visibility” and “Country restrictions” settings.
If you want to leave the geo-gating in place, the Chat plugin will only load for logged-in users who are identified as being from the allowed region(s). It will not load at all for guest/logged-out users.
Hope this clarifies!

Can you share the link to the FB Page you’re connecting it to? I’m not able to load it with the ID that’s been provided in the code…

Hi @flownewpatients,
I’ve had a look at your site, and unfortunately it seem that the Chat plugin does not load on either desktop nor mobile.
The reason for this is that the Facebook Page that has been linked is not available – it might be unpublished, or age or geo-restricted.
Can I ask you to try to go through the setup process again, and ensure you select the correct Facebook Page you wish to link the Chat plugin to?
Thanks!

Hi @aramgh100,
I’m not seeing any error messages in my console when I load up your site, and in fact I can’t see the plugin code on the site at all. Can I ask you to go through the setup process from the beginning again?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] Chat transcriptHi @davecoledave,
This is an interesting feature request, and I’ve passed it on to the team.
As it stands, for a guest, it may be more advantageous to log in, so that the user will have a record of the conversation in their Messenger inbox.
Thanks for the feedback!

As mentioned in the documentation (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/messenger-platform/reference/messenger-profile-api/domain-whitelisting#requirements) your site will need to be using a fully qualified domain name. IP addresses cannot be whitelisted.
Hope this clarifies things,
