Hi @bururu,
Thanks for your feedback!
Whether the plugin starts open, or minimised, can be set in the setup process (Step 2 -> Automatically Expand).
As for the issue with the plugin overlaying other bars on the screen, you can modify the vertical positioning of the plugin in the setup process (Step 2 -> Position).
Your other comments have been noted, and will be passed on to the team.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] Chat Delay to MobileHi @lyntreeio,
I’ve tried recreating the scenario you described (sending messages via Chat plugin, and retrieving them in Facebook Business Suite), however the messages appear instantly in the Inbox in all my tests. We don’t see any indication of latency up to several minutes.
Perhaps this could be related to your network speed?
Sorry I wasn’t able to be of more help.

Hi @benarab91,
You can now control the positioning of the button as part of the setup process (step 2 of the setup flow). I would recommend playing around with those settings until you can move the position of the icon to where you want it 🙂
All the best,

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] Chat Delay to MobileHi @lyntreeio,
Can you explain in more detail what you mean by “there is a delay between receiving and then pushing these to this application”? Where in the flow are you encountering a delay? Which application are you referring to?
This forum is more about the WordPress plugin itself, rather than the Facebook Messenger infra. But I can certainly try and assist and point you in the right direction if possible.
Thanks,

Hi @thryvefood,
I’ve loaded up your website and the Chat plugin appears to be loading fine for me 🙂
Looks like you’re good to go,

Hi @cristianimc,
Well, as it shows in the screenshot, the Page is only visible to people in Romania, so that’s the geo-gating we’re coming up against. Even if you’re present in that country, it would still require you to be logged into Facebook in the browser to pass the check (which explains why you might see it load fine in some browsers, eg. desktop, and not in others, eg. mobile).
Generally speaking, the Chat plugin doesn’t play well with Pages with restrictions, and features like Guest mode won’t function correctly at all. Your best move here to restore the plugin to full functionality would be to remove the Page’s geo-gating restriction.
All the best,
Facebook Team
Hi @cristianimc,
The Chat plugin on your website isn’t showing up (on any platform actually), because the FB Page it’s connected to is restricted (probably geo-gated to a particular region).
This means that only users who are logged into Facebook, and who are situated in the allowed region(s) will be able to load it.
If you hold an admin role on that FB Page, you can edit the Page’s restrictions in the Page’s general settings (“Country restrictions”).
I’ll mark this as resolved for now, but let us know if you still encounter any difficulties!

Hi @mohamedsaied,
That’s strange – thanks for reporting. We’ll look into this. Glad you were able to resolve it for your site though!
All the best,

Yes – can see it now! Looks like it’s working fine. I can also load the Facebook Page now, so whatever change you made to its restrictions did the trick 👍🏻
Glad we could solve this. All the best,

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] Message did not sendHi @dsugar3104,
You don’t need to do any manual code deployment with the WordPress plugin 🙂 It’s added automatically.

Thanks! I was able to see the whole page, including the plugin code.
It looks like the Facebook Page you have connected the plugin to is unpublished, or has some other restriction applied (maybe age, or location). In order for the plugin to be available to all visitors, you will need to publish your FB Page (if it’s currently unpublished), and remove any restrictions. Otherwise it may only show for a portion of your audience.
You can control this configuration via the Page settings on Facebook.
Hope this helps!
