hey @camb416,
yes you can achive that but I never did it. Gutenslider is using slick slider and you can surely find online resources telling you how to write a function to move to next/previous slides. You can also get the slider instance from js for sure.

In reply to: [WordPress Slider Block Gutenslider] Bug today…Have you installed new plugins or new plugin versions recently? Did you try deactivating all plugins but Gutenslider to see if it works?
We have a working installation here on WP 5.5. with or without the most recent Gutenberg plugin installed.
Please disable all plugins and see if it works. It seems to be a interference with another plugin you use.

basically Gutenslider allows you to add arbitrary content on top. E.g. a paragraph with a caption for each slide. You can position it where you want with gutenslider controls. If you need more finegrained control, you can also position captions with css.

the free version does not allow that feature. In the pro version you can change the autoplay speed.
