sorry for not replying earlier. Currently it is only possible by what you say, or by some custom css. We are working on a new version, that will (amongst many other great features) include the possiblity to have content-only sliders, transparent backgrounds, color backgrounds, …

We checked and the error does not happen in our testing environments. Please be so kind and add the following lines to your
wp-config.phpdefine( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
define( ‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true );Then send us the log of the browser’s console.

cool that you post that workaround. The next major release will contain a switch that allows different image sizes and slider styles for different ratio images, to allow showing them all in full.
Until then everyone with the need to display full images, can use the css you posted.

I was contacting freemius to ask if they already know the solution, and they indeed heared from the error before. They advised me to ask if you somehow migrated / cloned or replicated you WordPress website to a new host.
For a fix of the error, you can download this plugin:

In reply to: [WordPress Slider Block Gutenslider] Adding captionsWhat exactly do you mean? Like adding captions to the images you are sliding. Do you have an example? Generally. Gutenslider allows you add arbitrary blocks to a slide. So you can easily add a paragraph block. But you are right. A feature to vertically align blocks is missing. We will put it on the feature request list and give it a high priority.

Fixed in version 2.7.0
@nbatchelor @sbeacham we just released v2.6.7 and totally rewrote one component. Can you please check if the error is gone?

@nbatchelor yes, we have an idea, though its hard to debug withot a system where we can reproduce the error. however we will start working on it now and youll hopefully see a fix in the next hours. then we again need your (or others’) feedback if it works.
It seems that this is the same issue also described in this thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/block-doesnt-display-in-gutenberg-editor/ so I am marking this as resolved. Please stay updated in the linked thread. Hopefully we can provide a fix in the following days.
