currently you can only set a fixed height in gutenslider. So images will be automatically cut off at the sides. You can still set images to contain in the slide settings and also change the slider height for mobile and tablet views.

For a auto height feature, please wait for one of the next versions.

we checked out the issue and it shows that it works on our side. Where does your problem appear? Frontend or Backend? can you also please check if it only occurs with sliders that were created pre 4.0.4 by creating a new slider and see if it also does not work there?

The css rule is not set on the block, as it would create fixed height sliders also when the media selection form is shown, which is not what we want.

sorry to hear you are having issues. We looked into it and found it was an error we introduced recently. Until the next release, you can however change the overlay in the Pro version on the individual slides.

Just go to “edit” mode, by clicking the pen, then, using the block navigator ( “three bars button” ) or click the slide you want to edit.

In the Backgorund Settings panel choose the options like in the image here. And you will have an overlay. Repeat for all slides that you need overlays for.

You van usw them to edit block props. E.g. the slideLink.

That is currently not possible, I am sorry. You will have to write some javascript to get that done with gutenslider.
