In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Shipping not automatically calculatedThis is the current expected behavior. It is a known limitation of the old theme engine.
This will be changing in an upcoming release although I am unsure when that will specifically be.
It might be possible to hack the results but I don’t suggest doing this as it may cause unforeseen trouble.
Something you might try would be selecting it automatically using javascript. This would not break the core plugin.
You would still need to click the calculate button but at least the fee could be auto selected. I’m not sure off hand how this can be done but at least it’s a possible suggestion.
I’ll do a search to see if anyone has tried doing this and link it if I find anything.
@violablu Martien66 is correct it would be best to open your own topic. You might want to roll back whatever you upgraded. This would provide the quickest way back to a functioning site. If you know the versions you previously had installed you can download them and reinstall. Even better if you had a backup just restore using it.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Incorrect documentationThank you for the feedback. We hear you honest we do. We are very aware our docs site is outdated at best. Justin has brought up several great points as why we have not moved in any one direction yet. Rather than waste more time starting with something that doesn’t work and having to shift again we are in somewhat of a holding pattern with it.
The major issue of anything open such as a forum or wiki is quality and spam control. Spam became a monstrous problem with our old forums and docs site. Fake users would sign up and then post spam.
Please understand we most definetly are looking to resolve many things we consider long overdue.
We always appreciate feedback and thank you for your understanding.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Grid Layout Not WorkingIt sounds like you’ve already used your complimentary API support token for another topic? If this is true you can purchase support tokens for additional topics at the website.

Each token is valid for a single support topic.
If you’re having trouble with layout it’s almost always due to theme CSS. I would advise the following to test.
1. Disable any NON Store WPEC plugins
2. Switch to a default wordpress theme such as 2010 -2012
3. Clear the store Theme Cache by going to SETTINGS > STORE > PRESENTATION (tab). It will be in the right column part way down the page. DO not skip this step or you may not clear the problem you are seeing.
4. Test your store.Grid View at tomes does require some CSS tinkering to look best depending on the theme you have decided to use. This is common since all themes have different widths to their content blocks and also have CSS such as margins and padding that can interfere with the Grid CSS.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Grid Layout Not Working@rahjaahmina If you own Gold Cart please use your API key to request a support member review your store for problems. Visit this page http://getshopped.org/resources/premium-support
@pshco Please do not post on topics saying “you have the same problem” In fact judging from the OP you do not have the same problem at all. the OP indicates Grid View is available but they are having layout problems. You indicate you do not have the grid view option available this is completely different. It’s always best to open your own topic. We have found an extremely high percent that say they have “the same problem” do not ever have the exact sam problem even when they are seeing *SIMILAR* issues.
That being said….
Please make sure you have activated Gold Cart using your API key. This is done in your WordPress admin my clicking DASHBOARD > STORE UPGRADES
1. go to your wordpress admin
2. go to DASHBOARD > STORE UPGRADES
3. Enter your NAME AND API KEYDocumentation here http://docs.getshopped.org/documentation/activating-your-gold-cart/

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] May want to change the READ THIS message.I’m truly sorry for that inconvenience. Last year we revamped our support system moving our premium support to Helpscout and removing the forums in favor of using wordpress.org where we felt non premium would be better served. More eyes would see topics here and allow for the greater WordPress community to respond instead of just the WPEC community. It also allowed us to free the WPEC site of the ever bloating forums and spam problems.
I will revise the Read This sticky post. Thank you for pointing that out I wasn’t aware it mentioned our old forums.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Can't checkout after upgrading – shipping won't calculateFor anyone testing by switching to a default 20## theme be sure you flush the template cache.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/151891/screenshots/2014-05-23_1850.png
If this step is missed you may not be using the correct files while testing and potentially still see the same error or even more errors.
just thought I’d mention it in case people miss that part

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Checkout page broken; only refreshes since WP update 3.9.1You have several JS errors that need to be resolved. These could be due to a plugin or theme conflict.
It also appears you’re using a cache plugin “wp-super-cache” I strongly advise against use of cache plugins. They are just not usually worth the problems they cause.
It’s very difficult to debug a site with a cache plugin running since it would be delivering files from the cache and not what is actually being generated. I would at the very least start by clearing the cached data. Or better clear the cache and then remove the plugin all together. If you are using the minify tools of the cache plugin these very often cause plugin scripts to break.
Once you have cleared the cache you can try to test for plugin and theme conflicts.
Disable all non WPEC plugins, switch to a default WP theme such as 2010. Clear the store template cache on the Store presentation settings page. Test the store. Remember none of this will be clear if you are still using the cache plugin since fils will be from the cache and not from the live changes.
You would also wan to clear up the script errors seen in the console. I would assume once you have made the test changes I suggest those will already resolve themselves.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Checkout page broken; only refreshes since WP update 3.9.1@ MorningCactus
I think Justin means the core isn’t being loaded meaning there are no scripts or css from WPEC being loaded. I will allow him to comment further about that but when I view the source I don’t see certain scripts and css.
That aside… Try all of the following…
1. reset your permalinks – go to permalink settings set them to default and save then set them back to your permalink settings.
2. go to the Store > Presentation tab settings and clear the template cache.
3. if this still fails to remedy the situation try the following to check for conflicts
3.a disable all non WPEC related plugins. switch to a default wWP theme such as 2010. once again clear the store template cache.
now test the store I would test by enabling the MANUAL PAYMENT method in payment settings.
If checkout completes properly then you either have a conflict with a plugin or the theme or your payment settings may be incorrect.
Lastly are you using authorize.net ARB or CIM or eCheck? If not I’d suggest switching to using the Authorize.net AIM payment option.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Gold Cart activated, but not operatingYes this is correct. Normally you would need to deactivate it on the old domain first. Since it’s a per domain key. If you no longer are able to do this you will need to contact support since I don’t advise you posting any private information on this open topic.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Remove noimage.png on a product pageThe best and easiest way would be.
1. Go to your WordPress admin SETTINGS > STORE > PRESENTATION tab
2. On this page on the right hand side you will see ADVANCED THEME SETTINGS
3. Select and of the templates or all of them this will clone some files to your theme
4. After selecting files scroll down and click “MOVE TEMPLATE FILES”
5. Below that click “FLUSH THEME CACHE”
6. Open your theme folder you will see the store files have been added including a folder named “wpsc-images”
7. inside this folder you will find “noimage.png”Replace noimage.png with a 100% transparent png
This will make it appear that there is no image but allow you to continue to use images where you want to.
If you feel more adventurous you could alter the store template but that is a bit more complex.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Gold Cart activated, but not operatingAs previously mentioned your Gold Cart is not activated. You have it installed and enabled but you still need to *ACTIVATE* it
Go to your DASHBOARD > STORE UPGRADES
Here you will see a place to enter your API info to ACTIVATE the plugin.
See Screenshot
Gold Cart Activation ScreenshotDocumentation here http://docs.getshopped.org/documentation/activating-your-gold-cart/
If you still have trouble after following these instructions then you may not have Gold Cart Installed or you may have a plugin conflict. Disable all other NON store related plugins and try again.
If you still have trouble please open a support topic http://getshopped.org/resources/premium-support/

EdwardWhat you are attempting is not possible out of the box. You might be able to have a developer build something custom. Here is a list of prominent WordPress / WPEC developers that may be able to assist you with custom development and design.
http://getshopped.org/consultant/Good Luck!
You could use something like the following.
First go to the page you want to add the product to and click the “Add a product editor button” It looks like a credit card. (see following screenshot)
Add Product Short Code Editor ButtonSelect the “Product” Tab in the dialog that appears. Select a product from the Drop Menu in this dialog (see following screenshot)
Product tab product drop menuScroll down in this dialog and select the “Add an add to cart button” option. (see following screenshot)
Add to cart optionThis results in a shortcode that produces something like the following
<div class="wpsc-add-to-cart-button"> <form class="wpsc-add-to-cart-button-form" id="product_476" action="" method="post"> <div class="wpsc_variation_forms"> </div> <input type="hidden" name="wpsc_ajax_action" value="add_to_cart"> <input type="hidden" name="product_id" value="476"> <input type="submit" id="product_476_submit_button" class="wpsc_buy_button" name="Buy" value="Add To Cart"> <input type="hidden" name="bb2_screener_" value="1398949885 69.116.7.166"></form> </div>Now you can use some basic CSS to alter the appearance of this button.
In the code above you see a line for the button
<input type="submit" id="product_476_submit_button" class="wpsc_buy_button" name="Buy" value="Add To Cart">You see this has ID product_476_submit_button your button will have a different number so do not just copy paste this.
Create a CSS style something like the following
#product_476_submit_button{ border: none; /* remove the border */ background-color: transparent; height: 140px; /* need to set a height and width */ width: 170px; /* add your image as a background */ background-image: url(http://getshopped.org/wp-content/themes/getshopped/images/showcase1.png); text-indent: -2000px; /* remove the button text */ }Hope this helps
