    After upgrading to the latest version of wp-ecomm I can no longer checkout. Sometimes I’ll add a product to the cart and go to checkout and it just shows my cart is empty. Other times my cart won’t be empty but the shipping won’t calculate and I’m stuck there.

    You’ll also notice on the checkout page (if your product actually sticks) that the zip code field says “State/Province” – entering either a state or zip does nothing. What is going on? This is a site with massive traffic and daily sales

    @abelcreative I took a quick look at your pages using chrome inspect and see some things that lead me to believe that there is something wrong in your install.

    First of all the ‘wpsc_vars’ variable that is localized into the pages so support the WP-e-Commerce javascript is missing. Without the contents of that variable many things won’t work.

    In addition to the error you noted above there are other javascript errors. Including a references to a script file ‘ajax.js’ I don’t see on any of my sites.

    The reason your cart appears to be empty is the js doesn’t find the unique identifier in the cookie it is looking for, once we identify the configuration problem that cookie would be set, and then found, then the cart will be displayed.

    If your using any caching or CDN, you might want to start by clearing everything out. If that doesn’t change the behavior need to look at PHP errors when the pages are generated, and try to identify why the localization isn’t working on your site.

    I turned off wp super cache, to no avail. I know this, everything worked fine until I upgraded to the latest version last week. I’m happy to lend a login to someone if that helps

    I’m having this same issue, someone please help. i’m unable to proceed to checkout after adding to cart and sometimes it says cart is empty. my web address is http://www.buchybymiraexcel.com . Problem started after my last upgrade

    Having the same issue since the recent update, had a few visitors reporting the bug using various browsers
    wp ecommerce is no longer able to calculate shipping once a user goes to the check out page,
    When ‘purchase’ is clicked the check out page requests ‘Please select one of the available shipping options, then we can process your order’. There’s no shipping option to select and no shipping automatically calculated any more
    If someone can please help that’d be really appreciated, thanks!

    @jamescb0 can you verify in the Store->Shippings page that you do have shipping enabled and shipping calculators enabled too ?

    ‘Enable Shipping settings’ is ticked and ‘Table Rate’ under ‘Internal Shipping Calculators’ is also ticked.
    I’m not using anything else under shipping so nothing else is ticked ie there’s no ‘External Shipping Calculators’, weight rate or flat rate ticked.
    This set up has been ok for the last 18 months or so.

    hey gang – anyone having trouble will most likely find (as I did) that it’s your theme. I paid $47 for a getshopped support token only to have them tell me there was nothing they could do and that my theme was outdated. Try using the newest default WP theme and see if the problem persists

    That’s a bummer. I’m having similar issues. Hoping they will fix it for the $47.00 I paid.

    Just to add another bit of info to the pot.. if I’m logged in to my wordpress admin for my site and make an order wp ecommerce will calculate the shipping correctly, if I’m not logged in then – wp ecommerce is no longer able to calculate shipping at the check out page and when ‘purchase’ is clicked the check out page requests ‘Please select one of the available shipping options, then we can process your order’. There’s no shipping option to select and no shipping automatically calculated.
    In wp-admin > settings > store > checkout > Users can checkout without a user account is ticked
    Any help would be really appreciated, thanks!!

    I’ve also tried changing my theme to Twenty Fourteen and no change to the error
    Unfortunately losing sales and customers are noticing the bug

    I`l take a look. I suspect it might be your theme. Will it be ok if i chnge themes to test too ?
