You can ask them to remove it, etc.

It’s just that some of what you’re saying is, if not confusing, incorrect. Dreamweaver is WYSIWYG/text editor for making websites, and as such, PHP cannot really be “configured” to work with it. But you can *use* Dreamweaver to work on PHP pages.
Sorry; I don’t have answers to the rest of your questions.
