how to go about getting site to delete link to my post?

  • I don’t know if what I’m asking can be done… I looked at my comments page today, and I found that a fashion/diet blog fashion.zapizapi.com (which looks automated) has set up a link to one of my posts. My rather earnest and lengthy post has *nothing* to do with fashion and diets, and I’d like to ask the blog owner to remove the link, but I couldn’t find anyone to contact, so all I could was leave a comment. Any help? It particularly irks me that my post was about wise use of money, non-consumerism, etc., and it’s being used as content on a fluffy, ad-filled, consumer-oriented, automated blog.

    Thanks for any help.

  • If this is your blog: http://superkk.wordpress.com/
you are in the wrong forum. This is wordpress.ORG.
    Your forum is at http://wordpress.com/forums

(on the other hand: what stops you from deleting that “comment”? – which is a ping or trackback, in fact…)

My, what a friendly response. /sarcasm

I wasn’t aware that I was at wordpress.ORG. I didn’t know there was a difference, anyway. I was merely following a WORDPRESS link.

My issue is that I don’t want someone using my post to make money on his shallow, ad-driven site.

Now you are aware… so continue there.

To be honest, it’s difficult to stop anyone from linking to your site, or publishing a snippet of your text alongside humongous amounts of ads. That’s unfortunately the way it is.

You can ask them to remove it, etc.
