In reply to: [FeedWordPress] BROKEN with the WordPress 4.7 updateFYI, I opened an issue on Github where the author maintains the code:
https://github.com/radgeek/feedwordpress/issues/76
and referenced this thread here and the reported fix. I don’t know how rapidly the author responds to issues, but it is open there in any event.
Jeremy – I’ll just say that I agree with JohnNadeau that the Change Log is confusing. I did NOT upgrade my sites to the 3.2 release specifically because I saw this note and didn’t want to lose the ability to publicize out to Google+.
If you can’t change the ChangeLog, it might be nice if you all put out a JetPack blog post or something like that to clarify this situation. (Which makes total sense to me, by the way, since Google discontinued the use of authorship markup.)

In reply to: [Edit Flow] Edit Flow Broken In Parts In WP 3.6I raised the three issues as tickets in Github:
https://github.com/Automattic/Edit-Flow/issues/209
https://github.com/Automattic/Edit-Flow/issues/210
https://github.com/Automattic/Edit-Flow/issues/211I see from another issue raised by cojennin that there way be a fix for part of this already.

In reply to: Adminbar not appearing on main pages of site regardless of themeThanks for the suggestion – and yes, I did try switching the permalinks to default and it still didn’t work. I’ve tried pretty much everything I could find in the forums short of a reinstallation… and I was in fact planning to do a reinstallation when I found that it worked fine on my second server!
The frustrating part is that the second site that works fine is an exact copy of the first site – with the only modification being the wp-config.php, .htaccess, and then fields in the database. I literally just tar’d up the wordpress directory on the original server and copied over that and a database backup.
So I’m back to thinking that maybe this is a
.htaccessissue or something silly where it’s not rewriting URLs correctly.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Adminbar not appearing on main pages of site regardless of themeI will also note that on the original server I’m also getting an error when trying to preview a post (hitting the Preview button):
You do not have permission to preview drafts.
In researching this issue, it makes me think again I have some kind of rewrite issue going on here.
And this works perfectly fine on the second server where the exact same WordPress MultiSite installation is installed at the top level of the server.

In reply to: Media Library has Stopped Working after Upgrading to WP 3.5.1I had this exact same problem, but now I have fixed it, too. Thanks to the other thread referenced a couple of replies above, I deactivated the Magic Fields plugin and that brought the functionality back. Upon examination, I still had version 1.5.8.3 of Magic Fields and an update to version 1.6.1 (the most recent) fixed this. Usually I keep up with all updates, but in this case I am in the process of migrating to a new theme that uses custom post types instead of Magic Fields, and so I hadn’t updated.
Anyway, if you use the Magic Fields plugin, try updating to the most recent version and this issue should go away.

In reply to: [Theme Updater] [Plugin: Theme Updater] Changed Theme Path after upgradeA new version v1.3.7 was recently released that fixed a number of issues. Can you try upgrading to the new version and then seeing if you experience the same issue?
I’ve not experienced this myself. When I upload a theme I upload a zip file with the directory name “foo”, and after my auto-updates the directory name stays the same.
I do know the kind of thing you’re talking about, though, because if I download a theme directly from Github, it has the folder/directory name of “danyork-foo-hash”. However, I’ve not seen that renaming behavior after an auto-update.

In reply to: [Theme Updater] [Plugin: Theme Updater] Alert appears to update all themesThe new version v1.3.7 that the development team just released fixed the issues that many of us were having, including this one. I would suggest updating the plugin and trying it again. The plugin is working well for me right now and I’ve both rolled back themes and auto-updated themes with no issues.

In reply to: [Theme Updater] [Plugin: Theme Updater] broken and outdatedFor the sake of others finding this post, I’ll note that the developers have released a new version v1.3.7 that fixes the issues, based, I believe, largely upon some of the changes that you (sethmatics) suggested (and many thanks for those!).

In reply to: [Theme Updater] [Plugin: Theme Updater] Broken, the end!The new version v1.3.7 that the development team just released fixed the issues that many of us were having. I would suggest updating the plugin and trying it again. The plugin is working well for me right now and I’ve both rolled back themes and auto-updated themes with no issues.
Very cool! Looking forward to seeing it.
Good point. I haven’t tried disabling that plugin, primarily because I *need* the CPT that was created by that plugin. However, I’ll do some experimentation.
Any suggestions in where to look about the menu display? i.e. what is building the menu?

In reply to: [Edit Flow] [Plugin: Edit Flow] Calendar blank for other users?Ha! No, I definitely don’t. I thought I had them hit “Today”, but I will check in the morning. If that is all I’m glad it is such a simple fix! (and is fixed for a future release)
Thanks for the quick reply!
Awesome! I missed that earlier request in the forums (or I would have simply added support there) with the search terms I used. Glad to know it’s on your radar.
Thanks for making such an excellent plugin!
