In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Neither updates nor deletes@huzefamotiwala – according to this thread, it’s an issue at GoDaddy, who is your hosting provider.
Reach out to their support and they should be able to help you.

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] paid 2 subscriptions@logeunie – I replied to your emails sent to us last Saturday.
I only find one transaction tied to either site – and that’s the one you got the receipt for.
Also Akismet uses WordPress.com user accounts for account management and there is no WordPress.com account tied to
t-theos@textes-theosophiques.fr– you have that set as your secondary billing address for thebureau@theosophie.fraccount.If you do have two transactions, either reply to one of the email replies we sent you on Saturday or reach out again via our contact form.
If you need further help, please keep it to email only as we can’t disclose further account information on these forums. I’ll mark this thread as resolved since this is a billing issue and this is not the proper place to get support.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Akismet won’t uninstall@sdarte If you can’t delete it via SFTP, I would definitely reach out to your hosting provider for help. Your SFTP creds should allow you to delete the
akismetplugin folder, so it sounds like they may need to fix your credentials to allow you to do that.Or, they could delete it for you if there’s some reason they can’t fix your credentials.
I hope that helps!

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Undeletable!@sandip-roy If you can’t delete the plugin, that’s not something that we have control over.
It sounds like your hosting provider is making Akismet a must-use plugin and may not allow you to remove it.
You should reach out to your host for help with this. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this. They can either help you remove it or explain why they require it on your site.
I hope that clarifies things!

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Unable to insert blog.@twansparant sorry for the delay in getting back to you and sorry for the confusion.
The wordpress files are under: /wp/
The plugins (and therefore the Jetpack files) are under: /app/plugins/Yes, that is the problem here. We’re expecting Jetpack’s files to be in
/wp/wp-content/plugins/– because/wp/is set as the install directory. That’s not something we can change or adjust on our end – everything for the WordPress install needs to be under one directory – in your case, the/wp/one.So my install isnβt broken and Iβm not able to fix it. It seems Jetpack doesnβt support custom WP_CONTENT_DIR or WP_CONTENT_URL folders?
Sadly, we do not. It looks like based on your previous comment that you’ll steer your client towards an alternative since it looks like you can’t deviate from the way the install is set up currently.
If you do end up changing things to be more like a standard WordPress installation and still have trouble, we’ll be happy to help.
Otherwise, we’ll consider this resolved for now.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Unable to insert blog.@twansparant – investigating a bit further, it looks like that method for free users to contact support is not working at the moment, but I’m confident we can get this sorted here.
You mentioned you’re using “Bedrock” which is new to me and it might be the source of the issues here?
Looking at your site’s page source, it indicates that your WordPress install files are split under two different directories.
–
https://www.problemenmetjustitie.nl/app/
–https://www.problemenmetjustitie.nl/wp/We need to see that your WordPress install in a single directory – we’re taking the URL entered in Settings -> General -> WordPress URL as the URL where we’re expecting to see the Jetpack files in addition to your site’s XMLRPC file. Since they’re split between different directories, you’re going to run into trouble connecting. I’m not sure if that’s how you set things up or if that’s how Bedrock set it up, but that does need to be fixed in order to use Jetpack.
You’ll need to fix your install so that your entire WordPress install is under a single directory (and reflected in the Settings -> General page), then try connecting again.
Let us know if you still have this problem and we’ll be happy to take a closer look.

@jeriksson – Spammers are always working to find new ways to get around our spam filtering. Akismet is always learning so if you come across a piece of spam that Akismet misses marking it as spam will help Akismet learn and not miss similar spam in the future.
If you continue to see things getting through that you’ve marked as spam, please reach out to us via our contact form and we’ll get your site information and API Key and investigate the issue. It’s possible your site isn’t communicating with our API so it’s not acting on these spam you’re getting.
You can reach us here: https://akismet.com/contact/
Thanks!
@desmith Thanks for getting in touch!
All the hooks and filters we have on our developer.jetpack.com site were all created pre-block editor, so that particular filter won’t impact any of the new blocks.
This is a bit out of scope for our support forums here, but I encourage you to open a new request on our GitHub repository for the development team for consideration because that seems like something we should have!
You can open a new issue here:
https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/newSorry I couldn’t be more help here – but let us know if we can help with anything else!
@angelleta Akismet is free for personal, non-commercial sites. However, your site appears to be for selling your products – which would make it a commercial site.
Akismet can only be used for free on personal, non-commercial sites only β no exceptions. If your site has advertising or affiliate links, sells products or services, solicits donations or sponsorships, or is in any way related to a business, non-profit, or educational organization – your site is considered commercial. Additionally, please note this support topic when you contact us because the screenshots you posted to Imgur exposed your unique API key and we will need to reset that for you otherwise you might have unauthorized use under your account.

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] not working without paymentAkismet is still free for sites that are eligible and our paid plans have been in place for nearly a decade, so nothing has changed.
