In reply to: Click a link get search resultsHey, thanks for the reply. I am looking to do more than just install a search plugin, I think. For example, if you go to http://www.cleansnipe.com/CAT-climb/harnesses-and-climbing-helmets.htm you’ll see a plus sign in some of the product boxes. If you click on it, it generates a search result… I’d like to do something similar to this, does that make sense? Do you know what it is called?

In reply to: Comments only available for new posts ?!You can manually decide which posts you want to allow comments for when you create new posts, it will be under the “discussion” widget.
Click “add new” under posts and scroll down until you see the “discussion” widget and look for “Allow comments” it should, by default, be checked. If you do not want comments on certain posts, simply uncheck the box.
Good luck!

In reply to: Comments only available for new posts ?!No don’t uncheck it. If I understand you correctly you want visitors to have the ability to comment right?
If that is the case don’t uncheck that box.
Go back to “discussion” and look for the box
Automatically close comments on articles older than __ days
Is that checked?

In reply to: Files keep going missingThanks esmi,
So I am trying to get the latest timthumb (version 2.8.2) from here : http://www.wpzoom.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=5080
Everytime I replace the old timthumb with the new version of timthumb, my images break on the site. I have changed the permissions to writable but still no luck getting the images to show back up.

In reply to: Files keep going missingThe only timthumb I can find is in my theme’s script folder.
Could timthumb delete theme files as well?
My other questions is why is it targeting my theme files and images and not any other files?
I am trying to rule out any other thing that might be causing the issue.

In reply to: Files keep going missingI just re-uploaded the site, but now the images are all broken because they have been deleted.
@esmi could timthumb do something like this? I am not sure if it’s the latest timbthumb, is there a way to check?
Last week and this week, the same thing happened and the same (exact) files went missing. I don’t really know what to do to stop it from happening next week…

In reply to: RSS Feed not workingWow, what a waste of my day. Fix RSS Feed was the solution.
Anyone know how/why wordpress breaks feeds?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: RSS Feed not workingAfter digging through again, it looks like I might have spaces somewhere that might be affecting the rss feed? The feed is loading in safari but not in chrome.
The validator gives me the following errors. I have deleted my rss.php rss2.php feed.php and wp-feed.php and replaced it all with fresh and had somewhat of a breakthrough.

If there are spaces affecting my feed I am not sure where to find the file to get rid of them.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
