In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] User Overview Add-on – Data UnavailableHi Mike,
I’m afraid that your specific configuration is not compatible with User Overview. The add-on needs to join (as SQL JOIN) the
wp_userstable, which in your case is local to the server, withwp_slim_stats, which you’re hosting on AWS. That will not work, as far as I know.Best,

what happens if you deactivate the option to show page titles in Slimstat > Settings > Reports?

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] SlimStat LockoutHi @mrmaton04,
sorry for the inconvenience. Would it be possible for you to ask your provider to give you access to the web server error log? This would give us a way to narrow down the issue. You can also contact us at http://support.wp-slimstat.com
Thanks,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] New Geolocation map with citiesHi,
The map is indeed displaying the 50 most recent page views. We thought it would be confusing and just bad UX design to display hundreds of dots on the map. We are considering making the amount of dots a parametric value that admins can customize in the settings.
Keep in mind that you can always change the time range to see what the map looks like for another day.
Thank you for your feedback!

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Stats graph/report improvementsHi @thefriendlancer,
thank you for taking some time to do this, it really helps us understand what our user community wants.
1) This is already available in the settings ( Slimstat > Settings > Reports ), with the option “Expand Details”. Let me know if that’s what you were looking for.
2) Over time, we’ve received feedback from both sides: those who like the interval approach, and those who like the two dates. With our current approach, we feel it’s more intuitive to specify ranges: October 25 is just October 23 + 2 days. Especially for long time ranges, people prefer to say “the last X days” instead of from X to Y. However, if we get more requests to switch our approach, we will definitely consider it.
Best,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Missing visitors.Dear @liwslust,
thank you for your feedback. It is very helpful to allow us to improve our code. Let me address the two issues you point out:
1) This could be because of filters or other settings that are preventing the tracker from identifying those pageviews. Are you currently using Slimstat in Client or Server mode? (see Slimstat > Settings > Basic) I suspect you’re using Client mode. Users nowadays install browser extensions that prevent trackers like Slimstat from doing their job. I would recommend switching the tracker to Server Mode to improve its accuracy.
2) Slimstat, as far as we know, is fully compatible with Cloudflare and other cloud caching solutions. Please make sure you’re not using any Javascript optmizers (WP plugins) that might interfere with our tracker. Again, switching to Server Mode should take care of this issue for the most part.
One quick note about our competitors, since you bring them into the conversation: please consider all the other features available in Slimstat that are currently not implemented in WP Statistics: a realtime access log with a granular filter bar that allows you to drill down your metrics in a quite flexible way; customizable reports and widgets available on the front-facing site; a plethora of premium add-ons to further extend the plugin’s capabilities; optimized code and memory usage (have you noticed how many people complain about WP Statistics’ memory usage?); a top-notch support with a 4.8 average rating. Sure, you’re free to switch to other tools. And I can only thank you for spending some time writing your message. Our users are our best resource!
Take care,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] regex OR (|) no longer working with does_not_matchHi @tophr,
good catch. It was a regression bug introduced not so long ago. We will fix it in the next update, which is scheduled to be released in about 10 days.
Thank you!

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] GeoLite2 in WP SlimstatHi,
thank you for pointing this out. It’s good to know that we have options. Please note that the accuracy level of the MaxMind data files is on average higher than the one provided by IP2Location, based on our experience with both. However, we still have a full year before we need to think about switching to a different provider. We’ll work on a fix (as we always do) when the time comes.

Hi Victor,
you may want to upgrade to the latest version (4.7.5.1), which includes a workaround for the “Forbidden” error.
Best,
