I’ve heard from one person so far that has having issues with zip generation and v2.0 of Simply Static fixed it.

The 405 on xmlrpc.php will happen every time. It’s meant for API calls, not human consumption, but Simply Static will still pick up links to it and try to include it.
In a future version of Simply Static I’ll probably specifically exclude that file and others like it.

ScottI’m glad you got things working, wadesteel! I’ll work on making it a little more obvious if things are amiss on the Settings page so that you don’t have to also check Diagnostics.

One thing you could try is adding
domain.com/nl/to the Additional URLs section. You’ll still get that redirect ondomain.com(because it is indeed redirecting), but by addingdomain.com/nl/Simply Static should be able to find other URLs to process.Let me know if that works.

Glad to hear it’s working for you now. Could you clarify what you mean by “if I use a plugin that use ‘admin-ajax.php’, SS is lost”? Is Simply Static having a conflict with another plugin? If so, could you let me know which plugin was causing issues? I’d love to take a look and see if I can fix the issue.

I’ve been taking a look into this. One thing I’ve noticed is that you’ve blocked public access to http://learningtodraw.online/mountaineeroftheyear2016. That’s fine, but my guess is that depending on how Simply Static is fetching content from your site it either falls in or out of the rules for being blocked. Could you share those rules with me? (Probably in an .htaccess file?) My email is: scott@codeofconduct.co
That should help me replicate the issue, and then I can either figure out if I can fix it on Simply Static’s side or advise folks on how to adjust their rules so that they don’t get the 403 errors that you’re seeing.

I thought I’d set up Simply Static so that it’d ignore redirects between http/https (and essentially treat them the same), but it seems like I might need to take another look at that. I’ve added a ticket to our bug tracker to investigate.
