In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] What wrong with my functionHi @daffy44, are you still getting this error? What does the backup log say when you have this code included?
@kpbryce132, this error occurs because curl tries to verify the SSL certificate, and is unable to. I would ask your host whether your SSL certificate is non-standard, or say that curl isn’t able to validate it.
Also your curl was seemingly compiled with GnuTLS, instead of OpenSSL. In some versions of GnuTLS this is a known bug. I’d ask your host about that as well.
Neither of these issues unfortunately have to do with BackWPup, but hopefully that was the technical explanation you were desiring, and you can pass that on to your host.
A simple resolution if you don’t want to deal with it is not to force SSL on all URLs, set your site URL to http, and only use SSL on the pages you want it on.
I’m going to mark this as resolved, but if you need further help, just let us know.
@mrlaw, are you still getting this error? It would be on the end of Dropbox, not BackWPup. The only thing I could say is that when you get your token, be sure you enter it into the right field, associated with the link you clicked. There are two fields: App Access to Dropbox, and Full Access to Dropbox, and the token is specific to either field.
Hi @cag8f. It’s likely that the archive name you had set for both were identical, and they just happened to back up at the exact same time.
There is a new feature in the upcoming release that will prevent such issues. As such I’m going to set this ticket as resolved. If you need anything else, feel free to let us know.
@terry789, I kept passive mode enabled, port 21, and didn’t have SSL checked.
@eigenstil, thanks for the additional information.
Would either of you be willing to submit a ticket giving temporary access to your FTP server and WP admin? The log as you have seen is incredibly vague, and it would require more direct debugging. If you could send an email to support@backwpup.com, I’ll make sure I take the ticket.

@scottgrin, this means that wp-cron is not accessible, and gives a 204 status code. I’ve never heard of this status being given, so it may have something to do with your host. I would recommend letting them know that your wp-cron is returning this error and see if they can fix it on their end.

Hi @webby1973, this sounds like an issue with your host. Can you ask them if they have a firewall blocking outgoing connections? If so, ask them to unblock content.dropboxapi.com on port 443. This is the URL for uploading your backups to Dropbox.

@svebal, I’m sorry you’re experiencing this issue, and also for the late response.
Can you let me know if you are still getting this error?
@adalbore, you will want to bring this up with your host. It means that your host is limiting the number of requests to your website, and you exceeded that limit. BackWPup doesn’t have anything to do with that error.
Since this doesn’t have to do specifically with BackWPup, I’m going to mark this as resolved. If you need anything else though, feel free to let us know.
@andreabrussi, can you let us know if you are still experiencing this issue? If so we’ll be happy to help. It’d take a bit more debugging to discover exactly what the issue could be.

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Update wipes off SMTP password@2bearstudio, is it still saying BackWPup Pro for you? If so, can you let us know where exactly it says this?

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] Completed 100% but with error…@paripari, to your original question, you may want to try changing archive format to Tar GZip. That signal is often received when you are creating a zip archive and the backup is several GB in size. Can you try doing that and let us know if it helps?

In reply to: [BackWPup – WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] What select@kyra1883 The issue is likely that you have your archive format set to zip, but your backup is too large for that. Please try setting your archive format to Tar GZip. You can do this by going to Jobs > [Your Job] > Edit, and under Archive Format, selecting Tar GZip.

The error you posted is just a general error BackWPup logs to say that the job cannot continue. Can you post the other error messages prior to this final error?
