In reply to: [BackWPup β WordPress Backup & Restore Plugin] What selectHi @kyra1883, are you still experiencing this issue? If so feel free to let us know and we’ll be happy to help. If not, then please mark this topic as resolved.
@mwarbinek, have you gotten any response from your host? Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help with. π
@mwarbinek, I have responded to your ticket with a fix to the wp-config.php duplication bug. Please let me know whether this resolves your issue, or if there is anything else I can help with. π
@kpbryce132, this is actually a known issue that unfortunately has nothing to do with BackWPup. It has to do with curl being compiled with GnuTLS instead of OpenSSL.
There is no way to fix this within the plugin itself, because the error is happening in WordPress after calling
wp_remote_post.You can ask your host if they could compile curl with OpenSSL instead of GnuTLS.
Hi @kpbryce132, can you post exactly the error you are getting? I’m running BackWPup with both SSL as well as Cloudflare, and having no issues with it. If you could post the error, that would be helpful. π
You may also want to think about opening your own thread just because this one is pretty old and it’ll be easier to not lose track of your issue.
@terry789, that’s what I thought. You’ll want to contact your host about this and let them know that PHP is unable to connect to the server. You might want to give the FTP host and/or IP adress to see if anything is blocked on their end.
@webby1973, no problem. Let us know what your host says.
@terry789 thanks for the extra info. Can you do the same as I suggested to siniztr above? Create a PHP file with:
<?php var_dump( ftp_connect( 'yourdomain.com', 21 ) );Where
yourdomain.comis the FTP server that is not working for you. See if it works for PHP itself or not.@siniztr, if it’s running on a port different than 21, then you’ll have to change your settings to that port. But my guess is that your host doesn’t allow outgoing connections on that port. So, ask them if they could allow outgoing connections on whatever port your FTP server is onβ¦ or else have the server run on port 21.
