I have just moved my hosting which may or may not have something to do with this, but now many of my galleries are gone! When I click to restore from backup all I get is “Unexpected error”.
Even on the galleries that show all the photos the page just returns “Not a valid template”.

No. Seems like I can’t get any slider that works. Numerous issues with NextGEN and others. Just tried to use Smart Slider again but they have way to bulk upload or sort. They expect me to laboriously upload one images at a time when I have more than 500 to add. Then they have no way to sort, for example, on filename. Even the drag and drop doesn’t work properly.
Very frustrating that I can’t find a simple slider that works.
New error – “Cannot read property ‘style’ of null”
I’ve only added about twenty of more than 500 photos. Running the preview but it’s been sitting there for more than ten minutes or so. ??
How do I sort the photos by filename?
Have used this plugin for a very long time and never had any issues. It might have come from the 500 plus photos I uploaded to the gallery. I’m now uploading a few at a time but I can’t find where to sort them. I wanted an alpha sort by the file name.

Sorry. Not following you. I have Google Drive but don’t know how to upload from there. I reported the exact wording of the error. Not sure how the graphic would help.
That was the error I received after adding the photos. I didn’t see anywhere to do an attachment of the error.
Having another issue. After I added a number of photos to a gallery and sorted them based on file name I wanted to add some more photos. The file names followed the same format but when they were added a number was added in front of the filename, resulting in not being able to resort the gallery by file name. There does not appear to be any way to edit the file names assigned.
Deactivated plugin, deleted, downloaded, installed and activated new plugin. Attempts to Recover from backup: “A failure occurred” “Unexpected Error” on every photo. Same results.

Noon is also showing as 12:00 AM which I don’t believe is correct. Technically there is no 12:00 AM or PM because those terms relate to before or after. It’s 12:00 Noon or 12:00 Midnight. The general consensus is also that 12:00 midnight is the last time of the current day and a nanosecond after midnight is the start of the next day.
Just saying.
On the end time if I disable it then I assume it won’t show for any events, which is not going to work. The end time field should just not require an entry.
There’s no error code. It just says “Error updating thumbnail” but then the thumbnail IS updated.

The issue is not being able to enter the times correctly. Most of the events start at 7:00 or 8:00 and end at midnight or 1:00 AM. There is no setting for midnight. Also, when there is no end time the program defaults to one hour later. It should just allow for no end time.
Also when you click on the date the settings flash for a second but you need to click on it again to bring up the settings.
