In reply to: [Display Widgets] Was working great until WordPress updateWell, I finally heard back from my theme developer and the problem is apparently that I have too many sidebars on the “page”. He showed me that if I zoomed out I could move the widgets. The only thing that doesn’t make sense to me is that I am viewing them on a 39″ monitor so I don’t get why they don’t fit.

In reply to: [Display Widgets] Was working great until WordPress updateThanks for commenting. I am having a nightmare trying to move widgets at all. I have a text widget under the right sidebar but the minute I try to move it up it disappears and ends up under the FAQ sidebar, for some unknown reason. Not only is this happening with text widgets but the same thing happened when I tried to move a Revolution Slider widget. My site is a mess because of this. I can only assume it’s something to do with the WordPress update.

In reply to: 4.2 upgrade – can't move widgetsI switched to twenty fifteen and can move the widgets with no problem. My confusion is that I upgraded the WP version on two sites. One has no problems with the widgets, the other does. Both exact same Avada themes. Same plugins.

In reply to: 4.2 upgrade – can't move widgetsI read that whole thing, Tara, but I didn’t see anything about problems with widgets.
I’m having the same issue. I am making a lot of small changes creating a form and doing the “preview” is very time-consuming. There must be way to in essence “work offline” on my site. Everything I’ve read looks SO complicated.
Appreciate any help on this.
It was BlueHost that identified the problem with the plug-in. Once this plugin was removed my site came back just fine. I believe the error was something about a missing file.
I’ve been getting an unusual high number of login attempts, thankfully blocked by WordFence. Is this anything to do with the Russian theft?
Tom I’ve thought about the whole project a little more and I’m changing the way it’s set-up. I’ve registered a new domain, YourLifeDomain.com and I’m going to create the intro on this site and then show my garycjones.ca as an example.
I want the YourLifeDomain.com to be a simple html site with only a slider and then a link to my garycjones.ca site. Does this mean I can’t use your slider?
I did originally but then I saw your readme.txt showing how to use the slider on the homepage. I removed the conditions and added it to a page and I almost had it working but now it’s just an ever spinning wheel on both the slider preview and the page so not sure what I have done. I’ll figure it out with enough fiddling. lol
Happy New Year, Tom!

Looks like another issue is that it’s not allowing my custom sidebars. The page template has content on the left and a custom sidebar on the rght with a widget to show a slider only if the page is the Gallery – Family page.
It’s not working.
Didn’t work, Tom. Sliders both started and all that was different was the dots along the bottom.
What I was hoping for was the play button in the middle of the slider, similar to a YouTube video. This page (http://www.garycjones.ca/?p=1255) has two sliders in the sidebar, but I have a renovation page (http://www.garycjones.ca/?page_id=2135) which has four sliders to play in line with the text.
Cheers!
Gary
