4.2 upgrade – can't move widgets

After upgrading I can’t move any widgets. I attempted to move one down in a sidebar and it disappeared. I attempted to move one from one sidebar to another but it will only move sideways on the page. I added a new text widget which now appears to be done differently by adding it to the drop down; however, once it was added to the sidebar at the bottom I could not move it up and it disappeared again when I tried to drag it.
