In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] 500 server errorHi bowerwebsolutions!
About the exception being caught by the plugin: No, the error is not being caught by our plugin or WordPress. The error 500 is being thrown by the web server, so certainly there will by some error message in the web server error log file (the only exception is if you have disabled error logging).
We can troubleshoot together if you like. One idea would be to copy the code to a new directory (or subdomain), change some configurations related to directory and see what is going on after updating the our plugin to 2.3.9.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] 500 server errorHi bowerwebsolutions!
Can you please check your web server error log file and see if you can find any error related to PHP?
Hi kopfteam!
It’s great to hear that shortcodes are working again 🙂
We are investigating the SyntaxError problem and hope we can come up with a solution shortly!
Thanks!
Hi joshiramit!
Can you take a look at your PHP installation and see if the extension “iconv” or “mbstring” is installed? You can use phpinfo() to get this information.
Thanks!
Hi TesterGP.
There is a bug related to shortcode and we’ve created a issue in our Ideas board: http://ideas.time.ly/ideas/CAL-I-149.
If you want, you can subscribe in that page and you are going to receive a notification when the fix is released. The fix is planned to be released next Monday (February 15, 2016), so I’m marking this topic as “resolved”.
Thanks!

Hi Taffy007!
Can you please check if the “iconv” or “mb_convert_encoding” extension is installed and enabled in your PHP?
You can check that by running the phpinfo() command.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] CPU spike shut down my serverHi gediweb!
When did it happen? If it was yesterday (or before), then it probably was caused by the slow dashboard and we’ve fixed that yesterday.
Can you please check if you are still experiencing the problem?
About the Pro version: Yes, the calendars are hosted in our own servers, so we will provide the required resources for that.
Thanks!
Hi pavelskalicky!
I’ve just noticed that there is a synchronization problem between accounts in checkout.time.ly and time.ly.. So, please follow these steps:
1- Go to http://checkout.time.ly and log in;
2- Go to http://time.ly and click on “Sign in”;
3- Now you can go to http://translate.time.ly and click on “Log in”.The account is only created/synced in the step 2.
Sorry for that! I’ll put in our backlog to make account syncing to be automatic.
Thanks!
Hi everyone.
As @contemplate mentioned, the API connection to https://update.time.ly/update was really slow and that was indeed the reason for the slowness you all experienced in the Dashboard.
I investigated the issue and found out that the PHP-FPM process in the update.time.ly server was down. I restored the service and now seems OK. I changed some configurations in the server and hope it won’t crash again.
Special thanks to @contemplate for tracking and pointing out the problem!
