Thanks for using our plugin. We are limited in supporting plugin compatibility issues.
Having said that, I took a look at your site and could not see the event you mention above so maybe it worked itself out?
Otherwise we do not have any resources on how the ‘Page Security & Membership’ works so not sure why it would all of a sudden stop working.
One option could be to make all events you want to hide private instead of public then it will only show to logged in users.

Sorry for the issues you are having here. I can help out.
In the X Theme it a little tricky to get working, but I Found if I set these two settings to this it worked for me:
X Theme Setting:
Appearance > Customize > Blog > “Full Post Content on Index” Set to > OnThe Events Calendar Settings:
Events > Settings > Display Tab > “Events template” Set to > Default Events TemplateIf you change those two settings does that resolve the issue?

Is it working for you?
The year will not show by default as the event is now in the current year.

I uses Genesis as by default theme with TEC and it works well, but there are some areas to watch out for.

Also, it is true we do not have shortcodes for the main view of Month, List, Map, etc..
