Now I see the order is by the duration of the event, which is in my opinion the worst way to show them.

I keep having to put sticky events just to bury the events with long duration,
but in day view even the sticky events don’t show first.

Why this order? Why is an event with a longer duration is considered so important? Why not just show them in simple start date order, or simple post date order.

Sorry, but i’m banging my head for 2 months now with this, and all the solutions found on earlier versions don’t work, as the calendar changes every 2 weeks…….

    Ah,
I guess longer events will always show ontop in dayview because their start date is at an earlier day.

So if I have an event that starts on 1 december at 20:00 and ends on 30 december, and then sticky events or events that start at 08:00 on any dates between 2 december and 29 december, the longass event will always show on top in day view just because it started on 1 december.

So sticky event and starting hour becomes useless in list/day view…

    Hi @lamarcha,

Indeed you are right about it, the order is by start date, and if the event hasn’t ended yet it will show up first.

‘Sticky Events’ only work in month view, it’s not intended to work in other views that’s why it doesn’t change the way they display in list/day view.

    Best,

Ok, thanks for the reply Nico.

However I still think is not the best way to show them, and from what I understand there’s no plans on changing it.

I suppose this happens with recurring events also: they will show on top of everything else

So i will have to copy and put my event manually on each day.
