@samdobrow The cache files should set to 0644 and folder need to be set to 0755 permissions.

@apeoclock It usually compress the image immediately once the image is uploaded.
Have you performed a conflict test yet?
Try deactivating all plugins except for WP-Optimize and see if it is resolved.
If so, reactivate each plugin one at a time until you find the culprit. You can check for the issue between activating each plugin, so you can see which one is causing problems.
Please let us know your findings.
@monterson Are you using any plugin for Facebiik Pixel? If yes, could you please ask the plugin author to exclude any cookies from caching and add it in “Cookies which, if present, will prevent caching (one per line)” box in WP-Optimize > Cache > Advanced settings and check if it helps to fix the issue?

@testx123 Could you please uncheck the option “Enable merging of JavaScript files” and “Enable merging of CSS files” from WP-Optimize > Minify > Javascript and CSS and check if it helps to fix the issue?
