This was actually a change we made in our most recent version to modernize the look and feel of the directory – we felt that the View button was a little outdated. You can now view the listing by clicking on the title link, which is more typical of how modern directories function.

It looks like the hashtag #google-vignette is being added to the end of the URL.

Theme and plugin conflicts are very common in WordPress, and a conflict test is used to help determine the cause of the issue. Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/

Before doing a conflict test, it is a best practice to take a backup of your site before beginning or to do the test on a staging site, in case any settings are changed during the process.

You can still do this in the listing, no problem. When you edit a listing on the front-end, use the grab-bars to move the desired image to the top of the list. There is a text designation underneath the top image that says “Thumbnail Image” — that is the featured image for the listing.

If you are referring to the Featured Image setting in the WordPress backend, that setting is not necessary for the listings in the directory and so that’s been removed.

All of this seems workable with the free plugin and some of the premium modules, like Extra Fields for example. The only thing we don’t have right now is a way to limit the number of ads a user can post — that’s not something the plugin allows at this time.
