Hi @claudiaiw
Thanks for bringing this to our attention! I’ll ask the dev team if we can get this corrected in the plugin. You can address that in the meantime with a translation file, but I’ll see if we can get it corrected for you! By the way, we are always looking for translation contributions on this page.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention!

In reply to: [AWP Classifieds] View categories page not loadingHey there,
When you download our plugin, you will find the .pot file in the languages folder. When you click on our plugin file to open it, choose the Languages folder and the first file you see is the Translation Template.
If you have already downloaded poedit, you can double-click that file to open it and make your changes. Be sure to save it as both a .po file and a .mo file in your language following the instructions in our documentation.
That should get you where you need to go!
Hi @composing2
Thank you so much for getting in touch. I’m sorry to hear that you ran into issues with this!
Can you please check under Directory > Directory Content > Form Fields in the Description field to be sure that Allow WordPress shortcodes in this field? is checked?
Please try that and let me know if you run into more issues.
Hi @ugene
We appreciate you reporting this. I have notified our development team about this issue. We don’t yet have an estimate on when this issue will be resolved, so it may not be right away. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks for your patience.
Hi @jks7152
I’m so very sorry to hear this happened to you! I can only imagine how this must feel, and I’m truly sorry you’re going through this. I will make sure our management team takes a look at this to see if there is something needed on our end that would help in a situation like this. The documentation provided by Google on this page says that the usage limits are much higher than what you’re stating here, so I would definitely recommend bringing that up with them as well.

In reply to: [AWP Classifieds] View categories page not loadingThanks for following up here. In the first screenshot you sent, at the bottom there is a button that says create a new translation file. That will get you started. Please follow the steps in the article I linked as well to change that wording.
I also found this video that may help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otS7-JqV74w There are likely others that may assist as well!
Hey @jmao1992
I’m sorry to hear that you ran into issues with this! We always recommend using the latest version of the plugin, but I definitely understand where you’re coming from on this. It’s likely an interaction with your WordPress theme.
We may be able to address this on your site while using the latest version of Business Directory Plugin with a simple setting change. Let’s try this with the latest version of our plugin and see if it helps. Go to Directory > Settings > General > Advanced then turn on this option: Disable Advanced CPT Integration?
Please try that and let me know what you find.

In reply to: [AWP Classifieds] View categories page not loadingThanks for getting back to me on this. In the screenshot you sent, there is a button to create a new translation file beneath the string- you’ll do this following the steps provided in the article in our Knowledge Base. Some users also find Loco Translate easier to use, so you may want to try that. You can also search for video tutorials that may make it a little easier to follow the steps.

In reply to: [AWP Classifieds] View categories page not loadingThank you for reaching out about this. I am working on an answer for you for the View Categories button. I’ll post an update here when I have an answer on that!
For your other question, any string can be changed in the plugin using a translation file. You can learn more about how to modify the labels in our Knowledge Base here: https://awpcp.com/knowledge-base/translate-awpcp-native-language-modify-labels-awpcp/
Hey @officezen
Thanks for getting back to me on this and for providing that screenshot. That’s really odd that it’s working on your test site. There must be something different between the two. I’d recommend comparing everything to be sure.
Have you tried a conflict test? If so, and you didn’t find any results, we would like to troubleshoot this issue with you further.

Hi @officezen
Thank you for reaching out about this. I’m sorry you ran into this issue!
Your settings under Directory > Settings > General Registration for the login and registration URLs should be blank unless you are using a membership plugin. Can you please check those and let me know what you see?
Hey @rftbdev
Thank you for reaching out about this! This is a great question and I will bring this to the attention of our developer and see how we can improve on it. I believe this code is in place to allow for our shortcodes to be used anywhere on your site, but I’ll confirm this with the developer. We appreciate you taking the time to ask!

In reply to: [AWP Classifieds] No option for recently updated (modified) listingsHi @macedonius
I appreciate you reaching out about this. Your input is valuable to us, and we’re constantly looking for ways to improve our product. While the feature you’re suggesting is not currently available, we’re actively considering it for inclusion in future updates.
At this time, we don’t have a workaround for this, and I apologize about that.
Thank you again for your valuable input, and we look forward to continuing to improve our plugin based on the needs of our users.
Best regards,
Hi @mercredi64
Thank you for reaching out about this. I’m sorry that you ran into issues with this.
Please note that the import process can be a resource-intensive task. If your import does not succeed try disabling other plugins first and/or increasing the values of the ‘memory_limit’ and ‘max_execution_time’ directives in your server’s php.ini configuration file.
Have you checked those things? We’ve seen other users who have this problem break the file down into smaller parts and the error does not happen. The error often occurs when there is something amiss with the file (even though I realize you said the test import worked fine).
We would like to troubleshoot this issue with you further if you continue to get the error. Please contact us with a link to this forum thread here, a screenshot of your CSV File Formatting settings, and a sample of the file: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact/
