In reply to: [Uploader] [Plugin: Uploader] Doesn't workYou can upload more using php, you just need to edit the post_max as well as the max_upload in your php.ini. You also may need to check to make sure the timeout is set high enough. I hope this helps.

In reply to: Bluehost Deactivated my Account.I would also disable all your plugins. That is the normal cause of performance issues. They should give you access to the back end. There you can just rename your wp-content/plugins folder to plugins.bak so that it isn’t used anymore. That much should be enough for you to get re-activated.

In reply to: How to import WordPress.com blog to Bluehost? You may need to clear your cookies and cache. Also it depends on when you changed your name servers. Name server changes can take 24-48 hours to take affect. The 24-48 hour period is caused by the fact that Internet Providers cache name servers to load websites faster. 24-48 hours is the generally accepted time that Internet Providers have between clearing that cache and checking to see if those name servers are the same. So that being said you will be able to see the name servers as set differently, but your Internet Provider can have the old name servers cached.

In reply to: How to import WordPress.com blog to Bluehost?@dannyking The link to your dashboard is http://www.hypergiantmusic.com/wp-admin
I visited it and it gave me the login screen. I would try logging in there to follow OHWeb’s instructions.

In reply to: Scheduled posts not publishingThat is weird. If it is working in ssh it should work in your cron job. I ran the same command on my box and it went through without an issue. The other thing you might want to try is run the command through the file path, instead of the URL. You should also be able to send the output to an email to yourself. I hope this helps. Honestly at this point it may be time to start contacting your host. Without knowing your hosting setup I am going to be grasping at straws here soon.

In reply to: Transferring old stats to jetpack?Unfortunately it is just an option that Jetpack does not offer. The problem is that they are storing the data in different locations, under different names. Technically I believe you could copy the information from one file to the other, but like I said before, it just isn’t something Jetpack does.

In reply to: pictures cannot be seen on my web!You can go to your dashboard and click Settings on the left, then click Media. There is a box there for Store uploads in this folder. Make sure that is just set to:
wp-content/uploads
You want it set to that exactly.

In reply to: Plugins and CPU usageOk Bluehost and it’s sister companies block pings for security reasons, so that is why you can’t ping the servers. I personally use Bluehost, and I am on their basic package (the lowest tier). Generally speaking I don’t have to much of a problem, but it really does depend on the site I am making. You do want to remember Bluehost is a shared hosting company. This means you are going to have hundreds of customers on one server. You do get what you pay for. That being said, personally I think they are great for what I am looking for.
I would suggest using a different speed tester though. I would use
That site will actually tell you how long until the first byte is delivered. This will let you know how quickly Bluehost/Justhost is responding to requests. If it is anything more than .75 seconds you can probably be sure their server is under a heavy load. That way you can see if that is the problem.

In reply to: URL issueI would suggest resetting your permalinks. To do this you need to login to your wordpress dashboard> click Settings on the left> click Permalinks on the left> click Save. After this is done please clear your cookies and cache and try your site again.

In reply to: Stats not working!?Unfortunately Jetpack doesn’t have the capability to import stats from a previous install/plugin. At this time it only starts recording stats from when it is activated.

In reply to: URL issueHave you checked your database to make sure your Wp-Url is setup correctly? This is configured when WordPress is installed. You can change this configuration in the database what the default URL is for your WordPress site.
1) In the cPanel, choose phpMyAdmin icon and, in left column, choose your WordPress *database.
2) Select the wp_options table on the left column.
3) Along the top, click the Browse tab.
4) There are two records to modify. Record #1 (siteurl) and #39 (home) (these can vary, but unlikely). For each, click the pencil icon to edit and change the option value to read the URL that you intend your links to display, such as http://domain.com.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Plugins and CPU usageI would probably suggest BulletProof Security over Better WP Security. I also know that WP Twitter can be a resource hog. If you think that the images is the main problem you may want to look into getting the paid version of CloudFlare. With the paid version they have an image optimizer, they also have something called Rocket Loader. Rocket Loader makes it so everything on your site loads at the same time, instead of just loading one by one.
