  • Hi @sgosine,

2nd try to get support but after a few days without a reply I would like to try again.

Does that mean you have another topic open for the same issue? If yes, please share the link to it, so we can keep it all in one.

    To reply to your questions:

The Facebook for WooCommerce extension will allow you to display your catalog on your Facebook site as well as use the products in Facebook ads, but will send the customer to your site to complete the checkout process.

The plugin doesn’t have any direct relation to Instagram, instead, it will sync your products to your Facebook Catalog, which can then be used for Instagram shopping.

Since you already have the Facebook catalog set up and working, can you please follow this guide on displaying your products on Instagram and let us know if it works. Thank you!

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/shopping-instagram-woocommerce/
Please note that for this to work, your business needs to be in a country where Shopping for Instagram is available.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi @katrinb,

As per the FAQ, Jetpack is not required to use Google Listings & Ads.

If you have an existing Jetpack connection on your site, either via Jetpack itself or another extension like WooCommerce Payments or WooCommerce Shipping, Google Listings & Ads will use that connection.

But it does require a WordPress.com account to initiate the connection, so if you had Jetpack installed when you set up the extension, it likely used that connection and did not create a new connection at the time.

The simplest way to resolve this will be to activate Jetpack in its most basic setup to retain the connection.

Otherwise, you can try to deactivate Jetpack and then disconnect your accounts to start the connection process over again.

    Best!

    Hi @circoleto2022,

Thanks for the reply, but it still doesn’t work. Do you know what it can be?

Let’s see what is causing this. Is your Facebook in English? If not, please follow the steps below and try the connection again:

    • Change your WordPress site language to English under WP Admin > Settings > General
    • Change your WooCommerce store currency to USD under WooCommerce > Settings > General

If the problem persists, It will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

Let us know how that goes.

    Hi @samvandewal,

Please share a full screenshot of the error message.

    Hi Louis,

Thanks for sharing the added details, this behavior is a little odd.

    You said earlier:

I compared the sales data with Woocommerce and I noticed that the analytics data is incomplete.

Please share more details on how you performed this comparison and what stood out as a discrepancy.

    You also asked earlier:

Could it be related to the fact that the user does not accept cookies and therefore cannot be tracked?

I’m not 100% sure what could be causing this, but let’s dig further into it together. I found this topic which is a bit close to your request: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/track-both-ua-and-ga4/#post-14906210 (you may focus only on the UA option).

Please try the steps in the link above and let us if it helped.
Depending on your findings, we may ask you to reach out to us via ticket, so we can look into this further.

    Hey @katmerriwick,

It sounds like you have managed to figure out the first question.

    For the second part:

I’ve read that I can save the labels as a pdf file & then email it to a local mailing place who can print it for me. Is this true?

Can you please share a link to the documentation you read this from?

You should certainly be able to re-print the label, much like this section of our docs outline: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-services/#section-8

I’d like to have a look at the details on saving labels as PDF too.

Looking forward to reading from you soon!

    Thanks!

I will also leave this topic open in case someone wants to jump in and help!

    Hi @guiest,

Thanks for the clarifications. In order for Facebook to be able to add and read the discount by default, that will require customization (custom codes).

Another option is what Sandip recommended above.

If you decide to go the coding route for customization, I can recommend the following places for more development-oriented questions:

    Hi @woody1969,

    Let’s dig into this further.

The error above might happen depending on what is also on the site plugin wise. We have seen a situation where this happened due to few active plugins not being updated.

Have you tried to activate it with just WooCommerce active and see if it still errors out? Please try to do that, and if it still errors out then if it is possible please post your **System Status Report** so we can take a closer look at the site itself and what is on it. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Additionally, can you please provide details on where you got the file for installation from?

    Write back soon!

    Hi @samvandewal,

Something went wrong when connecting to facebook!
    Catalog ID is missing

I found another report of this problem and would like to see if this is a solution for your site.

Deactivate Facebook for WooCommerce under Plugins > All Plugins, and then navigate to your WordPress options page https://yoursite/wp-admin/options.php (be sure to have a backup of the site, and only edit the following fields) -In here please clear the value for the following fields:

    wc_facebook_external_business_id

wc_facebook_system_user_id

    wc_facebook_business_manager_id

    wc_facebook_merchant_access_token

wc_facebook_page_access_token

    wc_facebook_page_id

    wc_facebook_pixel_id

If it does not show these fields, or if the fields are blank, that will be fine. Once that’s done, please re-activate Facebook for WooCommerce extension under Plugins > All Plugins and then click Get Started to re-connect to your Facebook Business Manager, select the same assets for Facebook Page, Pixel, and Catalog.

This should ‘reset’ Facebook completely, and allow the Pixel to be re-engaged as well as the Business Manager. As long as there is a non-conflicting catalog (see #1 above) then it should connect.

Please let us know the results!

    Hi @dcsysdat,

Glad to know you got this sorted out finally!

If you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Best!

    Hi @habboubih,

Will do that and share the log via Woo ticket

Let’s keep it all in one. Please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.

We will be able to help you further there.

    Hi @phihh ,

It sounds like you are wanting the WooCommerce breadcrumbs to work like a history of all the pages that were visited (the path that was taken) to reach the current page. However, WooCommerce breadcrumbs work in more of a “hierarchy” way, displaying the Category and Subcategory structure of where the product lies.

There is a description of different kinds of site breadcrumbs on Yoast’s site here:
    https://yoast.com/breadcrumbs-seo/

We have a document for customizing the breadcrumbs available at the link below, however it does not change the actual functionality (still hierarchical, rather than historical):
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/customise-the-woocommerce-breadcrumb/

In order to change the way the breadcrumbs work, you would need a third party plugin, or customization (custom coding).

I hope this helps clarify for you!

    Hi @machine1,

Can you advise how I can bulk update this field from the brand used by “Perfect Brands” plugin?

Is “Perfect Brands” a third party plugin you are using to add brands to your products?

If yes, you may want to test the compatibility of the plugin with our Facebook for WooCommerce extension by creating a product with the plugin then export the template, add 1 or 2 more products to the CSV then import it again to your store and see if Facebook for WooCommerce can access the brand.

You may also want to just check this out with the plugin developers.

    Thanks!
