You can fix this problem by adding your custom MIME types in your hosting dashboard. Please try to add sgbp extension as application/octet-stream, this should help you with the issue.
You can also connect via FTP client (e.g. Cyberduck or FileZilla) and download your backups from “wp-content/uploads/backup-guard/”.

Are you having this problem during import or restore? If it is during import, please share a screenshot so we can see this problem. If it is during restore, could you please share your restore log with us? (please first remove any confidential information you think it may contain before sharing).
Dear @pouryourheart, if the user has the backup, we’ll do anything to help him as we always do with all of our customers. There is no need to upgrade to Gold if no feature from Gold package is required. Regarding any other technical problems with the plugin, please let us know and we will try to help you too.

Generally, the restoration process doesn’t take too much time (it depends on the number of files inside the archive, not so much on the size).
But we do recommend you to do it in a time of low traffic, because your website may be offline during the process. This generally happens in the last step of the restoration process, while we restore your database (which is the most crucial part).

For now you can use BackupGuard only from the network admin section.
@gruizrizo We are sorry you faced problems during restoration.
This error massage could happen if only you attempt to migrate your website instead of simple restoration. Migration is not just restoration. All database is being refactored to be compatible to the new environment in case of migration. The migration feature is included only in Pro versions, that’s why such exception could happen when you attempt to migrate the website using Free version.

The plugin is free and you can easily restore your website under the same domain.If you want to restore backup under different domain, that feature is called “migration” and it requires higher plans. Hope this explains the case.

If you are sure that all the plugins and themes are compatible with PHP version 7.0.33 then you can ignore this message. If you are not sure, please downgrade PHP version 5.5.38.
