Hello @markhowellsmead ,
Thank you for reaching out. I did some tests in a testing environment before getting to you, and I assure you that if “Do you want Complianz to add Matomo/Matomo Tag Manager to your website?” is set to “No” and this setting is saved, Complianz will not insert the statistics script in the footer.
This issue might still occur if there’s a caching plugin in the WordPress instance. Checking your site, I see that you are using LiteSpeed, and we usually suggest excluding Complianz from it. Guide here.
With that said, after checking your site, no Matomo code implemented by Complianz was inserted. Please let us know. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Cookies – TranslationHello @hebhansen ,
Thank you for reaching out and wanting to contribute! We really appreciate that. You can help the community with your translations here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/complianz-gdpr/stable/.
Once reviewed, we’ll approve the translation so it will be available to everyone.Meanwhile, the Danish version has not been translated for the Terms and Condition plugin, and if you desire, you can contribute here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/complianz-terms-conditions/stable/da/default/. The principles are the same. In any case, if you prefer, you can edit your legal documents and apply your own translation. Here’s a guide: https://complianz.io/editing-legal-documents/.
We are sorry for the lack of translation and for any inconvenience caused. If you ever help us, please let us know via this thread so we can approve them as soon as possible.
Best regards,
AntonioHello @charityimmos ,
Sorry for the long wait, we have now approved the translation. Please update your current translations on WordPress by going to Dashboard > Updates > Translations. You should see the changes reflected in the cookie policy. Please let us know.

Thank you for reaching out.
I’m sorry to hear that. I have checked out your site, and it appears that the REST API is not accessible, the console shows a 401 error (Unauthorized). This issue usually occurs when limitations have been applied to the REST API. To start troubleshooting, try disabling any caching, optimization, or performance plugins to see if this affects Complianz. Additionally, check if any server rules are being applied to the REST API.We suggest checking that. Once you have addressed the REST API, please perform a reset of the banner by going to Consent Banner > General > Reset to default values > Reset.
I hope this helps!

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Error displaying articlesHello @ricsca2 ,
The custom CSS won’t help in this case, as this issue relates to the HTML/PHP code of the page. You can try this solution on just one page to see if it resolves the issue. All you need to do is go into your editor and wrap the YouTube block inside<div>tags. I advise you to check out your editor’s documentation for guidance.Best regards,

Thank you for reaching out.
I’m sorry to hear that. It seems there is an error during the application of the YouTube placeholder. The issue occurs because the video and all the page content are wrapped inside the same div. The placeholder application works by taking everything inside the YouTube video and applying its layer. To overcome this, could you please try to wrap the YouTube video inside additional
<div>tags and see if that solves the issue? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you for reaching out.
I’m sorry to hear about this issue, we are not aware of that problem. Out of the box, Complianz integrates with WooCommerce, but it could be that this integration doesn’t work well with all the other WooCommerce internal integrations. Indeed, I see that the reviews are part of WooCommerce Tabs. Can you please confirm this?Could you please try disabling the WooCommerce integration in Integrations > Plugins and let me know if this makes a noticeable difference?
Thanks in advance, looking forward to hearing from you.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent not showingHello @caterinac069 ,
I have checked the site and I see the banner on multiple devices (desktop/mobile).
Are you using some sort of Adblock or tracker blocker? This might be why you are not seeing the banner.Best regards,

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] They fixed it!Hi @stylishjm ,
We are really sorry to hear that. I know that the past months have been rough for users, and we are doing our best to address all the issues that came with the new implementations in our plugin. We have a full roadmap of implementations aimed at enhancing the plugin further.
This specific issue has been addressed in the current release, after testing it ourselves to understand the origin, and it’s going to be released tomorrow for the free version too. We can imagine the inconvenience, and we truly didn’t mean to cause that. I hope you can try the new versions so you can change your opinion about us. We value every feedback, our primary objective is to help the community.
In any case we remain at your disposal.
Best regards,
AntonioHello @athan23690 ,
If the changes are not showing yet, it is mostly due to the fact that WPML implemented more languages, so you will need to sync and add the cookie to each language. The cookie shortcode will load the cookies based on the specific language page. For example, if you have an EN/IT/DE site, you will need to sync each language via the language selector in the Wizard > Consent > Cookiedatabase.org to make sure all the various languages are synced. The custom cookie service will be carried over all the languages if correctly synced.
I hope this helps. Please let us know.
Hello @itforme ,
Can you please try to enable only Complianz among the disabled plugins to see how the manage consent tab behaves? Additionally, check the “Manage Consent Display Options” located in Consent Banner > General. By default, it’s set to “Hover on Desktop – Hide on Mobile,” allowing users to revisit their choices. How is it set in your configuration? Thanks in advance, looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards, Antonio

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] External scripts loaded before consentHi @baumannmusic ,
What you experienced, it is normal because our Cookie Solution does not delete cookies, but rather “blocks” the script that generates them at the source. This means that the cookies you see are present in the browser cache, but they no longer perform their profiling function because the script that uses them is blocked upon rejection. Also consider that if your ADS team applied the correct triggers in your GTM workspace, you should not worry about whether a connection is established before consent, as the Complianz cookie categories will act as the main trigger for those tags. You can easily check this from the “Network” tab of your development tools: upon rejecting cookies, if you refresh the page, the script that generates the cookie in question is blocked and does not appear in the list of scripts loaded by the page.
But, if you prefer your workaround, please feel free to use it. Enhancing personal preferences is always a great thing!
I hope this clarifies your doubts.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] 403 forbidden errorHello @barkha064 ,
Thank you for reaching out. This issue typically comes up when there are server rules or security/firewall/cache plugins affecting WP’s ability to perform a specific action like downloading a file from an external plugin .php.
Could you let me know which plugins you’re using? If you have any of those mentioned plugin types in place, I’d ask you to whitelist this URL: https://userdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/complianz-terms-conditions/download.php.
If you don’t have any of these plugins on your WP installation, please reach out to your hosting provider, as there could be some folder permission limitations or network restrictions applied.
I hope this helps,
Best regards,
Antonio
