    Hello @kbelimpassakis ,

    Thank you for reaching out!

For custom changes like this, we recommend following our guide on how to create a banner from scratch, where everything is explained step by step: https://complianz.io/create-your-own-banner-from-scratch.

For your convenience, I’ve also created a template where the “Deny” button appears inside the modal once the “View Preferences” button is clicked. You can find it here; please do not forget to rename it as cookiebanner.php. If you need further modification from there you have a baseline that you can take over and do as you’d like. If you need further modifications from there, you have a solid baseline you can build on and adjust as you like.

    I hope this helps!
    Best regards,
    Antonio

    Hello @marianssen ,

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’re running into this issue.

Would you be able to share which plugins or scripts are involved, so we can try to reproduce the problem on our end? That would really help us assist you more effectively.

As for Google Maps or other specific functionalities being blocked, rather than whitelisting the entire file, it’s often more effective to whitelist the specific functions being used inside the vendor.js. This approach generally gives better results and avoids over-whitelisting unnecessary scripts.

I suggest continuing to use the filter you’re already using to whitelist, as it allows you to set a priority, unlike the one provided directly by Complianz.

    I hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Antonio

    Hello @cherrylb ,

Thank you for reaching out and for using Complianz!
    To answer your questions:

    • If you manually deselect third-party services like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or AdSense, they will not be automatically re-enabled. Once disabled, they stay that way unless you choose to enable them again yourself.
    • The message on YouTube videos is part of the placeholder, and it’s there to inform users about the type of cookies used by that service, in this case, marketing cookies.

If you’d like to change the text, you can go to:
Tools > Placeholders > Blocked content text, and update it to something that fits your tone better.

If you prefer to hide the message entirely, you can add this custom CSS:

    button.cmplz-blocked-content-notice.cmplz-accept-category.cmplz-accept-marketing {
    display: none;
    }

Alternatively, if you want to disable placeholders altogether, you can do that under:
Tools > Placeholders > Disable placeholder insertion.
Just keep in mind that doing so will leave the video area (or other blocked content) blank until the user accepts cookies, of course assuming the service that uses the placeholder is still enabled.

    I hope this helps!
    Best regards,
    Antonio

    Hello @cdserveopro ,

    Thank you for reaching out.
Let me go through your questions one by one:

    • Google Maps, Fonts, and reCAPTCHA: If these appear on the generated cookie policy page even though you haven’t manually selected them, it’s because the scanner has detected them. This usually means they’re being loaded by your theme or another plugin. So even if reCAPTCHA isn’t enabled in Complianz, it’s likely being embedded elsewhere.
Also, since reCAPTCHA is classified as “Functional”, it cannot be selected, functional cookies fall under “Necessary Cookies”. As for the other two (Maps and Fonts), you’ll need to sync the Cookie Policy page again, as they are still waiting for data from cookiedatabase.org.
    • Jetpack: If you’ve removed Jetpack from your site but its cookies are still showing, you can reset the Cookie Polciy by going to Wizard > Consent > Website Scan and clicking on “Clear Cookies”. This will wipe the old results and start a fresh scan. If Jetpack cookies still appear after that, it might be due to remnants in your browser cache, in that case, try running the scan again in incognito/private mode.
    • Elementor stats plugin: You can manually change its classification by following this updated guide. Keep in mind that the behavior of functional and statistics (anonymous) cookies is the same, both don’t require consent, so this won’t affect compliance.
    • Sourcebuster JS: This script comes from WooCommerce. It’s normal to see it listed if WooCommerce is active on your site.

    Hope this clears things up!

    Hello @jpnl ,

Thanks for your message. I am sorry to hear that.

From the screenshots, everything looks correctly configured. However, I also noticed that the statistics aren’t being triggered before consent, even though consent for statistics is not required (from the screnshots).

Could you please try finishing and saving the settings again via the wizard, just to make sure everything is stored properly?
Sometimes the plugin doesn’t get the time to fully save the settings right away, this can happen depending on the site’s performance, since Complianz runs locally.

After doing that, please clear your cache and check again.

Let me know how it goes.
    Best regards,
    Antonio

    Hello @jpnl ,

The text shown in the cmplz-link section is the title of the page. It’s enough to change the page title in the various languages.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello @markxkr ,

    Thank you for your message.

We haven’t made any recent changes related to checkout or payment handling, so this issue might be caused by an integration conflict.

Have you tried disabling the integrations one by one under Complianz > Integrations > Plugins/Services to see if one of them is causing the crash? This could help narrow things down and speed up the troubleshooting process.

Since this appears to be a completely different issue, I kindly ask you to open a new thread. That way, we can keep each topic organized and easier to follow.

Looking forward to your update, and thank you for your cooperation.

    Hello @apsuhos ,

Thank you. I was implementing a statistics category, which is why I wasn’t able to replicate the issue at first. It seems the error is triggered when only Functional is available in the cookie categories.

I’ve created an internal task, which is currently pending review.
I’ll update the thread as soon as I hear back from the team.

    Best regards,
    Antonio

    Hello @umberto69 ,

Yes, absolutely, in this case as well, you should use sitoprincipale.it as the root domain.

    Hello @apsuhos ,

Thank you very much for the detailed feedback and for taking the time to test this.

I’ve tried to replicate the behavior both in the WordPress Playground and in a Local environment, but I wasn’t able to trigger the PHP notice, even after changing “Does your website use third-party services?” to “No”.
    I tested it using:

    • WordPress 6.8.2
    • PHP 8.3 / 8.0.16
    • Complianz 7.4.2
    • Query Monitor 3.19.0
    • Theme TT5

Were you perhaps using a different WordPress / PHP / Plugins version, or was everything up to date on your end?
If possible, a short video showing how you reproduce the issue would be very helpful.

Thanks again for your support and detailed input!

    Best regards,
    Antonio

    Hello @rmintellek ,

In this case, I checked with a clean installation, and I can confirm it’s not an error.
This happens because in Wizard > General > Documents > Cookie Policy, you’ve selected either “Existing Page” or “URL”, which tells the plugin that you’re not using the Complianz-generated Cookie Policy. That’s why the Website Information section is not available in full.

If you’re using our shortcode on a custom URL, you can switch the option to “Generated with Complianz”, and then you’ll be able to edit the slug without any issues in Pages.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello Umberto,

On all sites, you can enter the same root domain.
    For example:

    • Site A: domain.com
    • Site B: domain.com/sub1
    • Site C: domain.com/sub2

In the Complianz settings, you can simply use the shared root domain, which in this case would be:
    domain.com
That should work across all sites that are part of the same domain structure.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    Antonio

    Hello @janmazanek ,

Thank you for the updates and for the detailed analysis you provided.

Since you are a Premium user and have also reached out to us through our ticketing platform, we’re unable to continue the discussion here, as it involves a commercial plugin, which is not allowed under the WordPress.org forum rules.

We will therefore close this thread and kindly ask you please read this: PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU POST AN ISSUE.

    Thank you for your understanding.
    Best regards,
    Antonio
