@30lines – Thumbs up noted. I added to the user list of people to update about this feature as we make progress on it. As always, thanks for the thoughts and feedback.
@digitalist – the comment form is indeed meant to be tracked and we don’t have a way to toggle off specific forms just yet, but it is something we’re evaluating. We’re a small two-person team so we can’t get to every feature idea as fast as we want, but this one is high on the list so hopefully we’ll have it in the product in some way, shape or form soon. Thanks for the support and patience while we continuously improve the product based on your feedback 🙂
Leadin should work with most WordPress form plugins and custom built HTML forms. The only exceptions are forms that are not enclosed in a HTML <form> tag or if the form is loaded through an iFrame. If the form submits through Javascript we can’t detect that it’s a form, or if it’s an iFrame we can’t detect the submission because of cross site security reasons.
1. Does your theme call the wp_footer method anywhere? Usually you’ll see a call in your main theme to get_footer, which includes the footer.php file. Inside of footer.php is where wp_footer() is usually called. Leadin’s javascript files are loaded in the WordPress footer and if wp_footer is never called in your theme, the Leadin scripts fail to loaded properly.
2. Can you trying clearing all your caches cache and then load the page to see if it works on a fresh page build?
Do you mind please looking into both of those possible causes and letting me know what you find? If it’s #1 I can send you the raw script calls so you can include them in your theme, and if it’s #2 it should resolve itself.
If neither or those are the problem then please email me a link and I’ll happily take a look for you to see what I can find – andy@leadin.com
We love that you’re lovin’ Leadin 🙂
Right now we don’t offer a way to edit the confirmation email, but we are working on it in the nearish future and hope to have a better solution in the coming months.
For now, the temporary fix is to disable the Leadin confirmation email and hook up another email service provider, then setup an auto-repsonder for when anyone fills out the popup form. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer them for you.
Cheers!

Once you’re rocking with Leadin for awhile, we’d be forever grateful if you could leave us a review in the plugin directory. Thanks!

So that error usually means that your MailChimp API key wasn’t copied and pasted correctly into the Leadin settings.
Do you mind logging back into your MailChimp account, navigating to Account -> Extras -> API keys and then recopying + pasting your key + saving the Leadin settings to make sure that’s not the problem? You’ll want to copy everything in the input box into the Leadin settings box fro the MailChimp integration.
Let me know if that works and we’ll go from there.
Leadin should work right out of the box with NInja Forms, no special integration required.

Agreed – this is actually an unforeseen bugs, and we hate bugs, so we’ll fix it in the next version of the plugin. Thanks again for reporting it.
Hi Thurston –
Thanks for the positive vibes! You ROCK too 🙂
Leadin should not be picking up form submissions on your login form. Is your form on a custom url like /login? We tried to implement a fix for this issue a few months back but it looks like it doesn’t work for custom urls (i.e. not wp-login.php), so we’ll probably roll in another update to not track the login form soon to fix this issue.
Thanks for the feedback and this should be fixed in the next update.
Cheers!
Hi –
I just wanted to give you an update that we aren’t going to be moving forward on custom placeholder text fields for some time. We may do it in the future, but we’ve had to decide to push implementing this idea back for awhile to focus our time elsewhere. We’re a small two-person team with limited development time each week, so we unfortunately can’t implement every feature right away.
For now I’ve marked you down as someone to keep in touch as we discuss this idea more and I’ll circle back if we make any other decisions.
Thanks!
Hi Thurston –
Right now we only support tagging based off class/id attributes on the <form> element. A decent amount of people have requested that we allow for tagging based off specific input values, which I think would solve your request. I can’t commit to whether or not we’ll build that soon, but I can tell you that if enough of our users request a feature, we tend to build it out. For now I’ve marked you down on that feature request as someone to keep in the loop and I’ll let you know how we progress as our team discuss it more.
Cheers,
– AndyHi there –
Do you mind sending me a sample form with this setup so I can visually see it? I sort of understand the issue here but wanted to verify by checking the actual markup.
Thanks!
Right now we don’t have the ability to limit the Leadin Popup to specific pages, and only support template types.
It’s an interesting idea though and I shared it with my team via Trello. The way we generally do product development is that if enough people request a feature, we tend to build it, so if enough people ask for this we’ll most likely add it into the plugin.
I’m going to mark this ticket as resolved and will circle back with you as we make a decision on this. Thanks again for the feedback and idea!

In reply to: [HubSpot All-In-One Marketing - Forms, Popups, Live Chat] Upgrading to 3.0Sorry for the confusion.
This is an issue with WordPress where it’s trying to unzip the new Leadin Pro plugin, seeing that a folder already exists and then throwing an error.
Luckily it’s an easy fix. All you need to do is deactivate and delete the old version of Leadin before uploading Leadin Pro 3.0.0. Don’t worry – none of your data will be lost.
Let me know if you run into any issues along the way. I’m going to mark this ticket as resolved and thanks for asking this question. I’ll hopefully help other Leadin users in the future who run into the same issue.
And I forgot to mark the tickets as resolved… Too much on my brain today 🙂
