Thanks, Cais. Will a custom template handle how the title is shown when it was displayed in a lightbox? If it does, I would like a pointer to how to design a custom template.
Cemal
Now that I’m thinking of it, it may be a welcome addition of the alttext and description fields can be concatenated with a special separator the user picks. So, my suggestion is to add a section in the settings that will allow the users to pick:
1. The alttext or description content to use as the image title (at least this one)
2. Option to concatenate the above with a separator like “-” or “|” (optional and nice)Cemal

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] 1.8.1 Does not work with NextGEN GalleryThat too is interesting. Perhaps a little code snippet that makes all lowercase may be useful here? Thanks again,
Cemal

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] 1.8.1 Does not work with NextGEN GalleryThat’s odd! They were double-quote characters and I replaced them with the same from the keyboard. It seemed to make the Brigidi images open in EFB lightbox. That said, why would it work for one post and not for the other? Or, work for 1.7 and not 1.8.x?
In any case, I appreciate your looking into it and finding the problem although I would swear they were the same double-quote characters.
By the way, I will switch to NGG Fancybox for another reason for the time being.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] 1.8.1 Does not work with NextGEN GalleryOK, will wait a little longer. Hope you can find the problem. NextGEN people may look at the Brigidi page for a different issue.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] 1.8.1 Does not work with NextGEN GalleryThere is still a strange problem. It works on the old posts but one new post does not use any lightbox at all and opens the images in the browser window. I will keep it for a little while so you can see, but not too long:
https://www.riphotocenter.org/rome-stephan-brigidi/
does not show the images in a lightbox, but:
https://www.riphotocenter.org/outspoken/
does.
I need to make the site properly functioning soon. It is 7:38 PM Eastern Time. If you get a chance to look at it between now and 8:00 PM you can see what I’m talking about. At 8:00 PM I will switch back to NextGEN Fancybox option rather than using the custome option to pass it to Easy Fancybox.

@cais, thank you. I noticed the login and momentary unavailability. I’m looking forward to the resolution and will follow on the support site.

@cais, I have just submitted the bug report and asked for instructions to send you login credentials so you can experience it first hand in the dashboard.

@cais, I reported a similar problem a couple of months ago and it was eventually fixed by a new version of Email Broadcast add-on they sent to me. Now, it that is activated, I cannot enter the Other Options page and see all the expanding accordion settings. I had to disable EB to fix this latest issue, I remembered a similar NGG conflict and sure enough, that was indeed the case. I’ll be glad to start a ticket wherever you indicate but Tips And Tricks HQ is the developer who fixed the initial round of the issue. Here are the other support threads:

Thankfully the Email Broadcast does not have to remain active all the time.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Last version 1.7 changes the behavior destructivelyI have tried using just the built-in Fancybox to NGG, but it is more cumbersome than using EFB, I’m sticking with your plugin! Thanks again,

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Last version 1.7 changes the behavior destructively@ravanh, thank you for your work. I reverted the Lightbox settings in NextGEN Gallery to use Custom and added the following line in the code box:
class=”fancybox” rel=”%GALLERY_NAME%”
I have been using a secondary lightbox to handle other images outside the NextGEN Gallery and also show videos in the lightbox. Maybe I should reevaluate my needs and see if all can be handled by NGG lightbox.
Thank you in any case for making this plugin available, I may still stick with it!

I found the culprit that prevented me from going into Other Options to make adjustments. It was an add-on to WP eMember called Email Broadcast. There was an incompatibility issue, they sent me a new version and it seemed to fix the problem but it is back. I wonder if the two teams can work out a permanent solution to the problem.
The lightbox option Fancybox used to work fine with Easy Fancybox, but no more. I have to change that to Custom and add the custom code once more.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Latest Update to v1.7 Wrecks Fancy BoxOK, I managed to get into the Other Options and made the change, it seems to be working now. The question still remains though, will the EFB behavior change again where I will have to go and make more changes? All these sites were running with the default settings of EFB and NGG, and I did use the Custom setting of NGG before for another lightbox plugin and found the easy-going nature of Easy Fancybox quite pleasant.

In reply to: [Firelight Lightbox] Latest Update to v1.7 Wrecks Fancy BoxI did, but two problems one of which may be NGG related:
1. Until this update of Easy Fancybox all was good, everything worked, after the update the points I made in the new thread emerged as problems
2. For some reason, I cannot get to the NGG Other Options page where I can change the setting
3. With EFB 1.63 everything is working fine on keptlight.com.I appreciate the opportunity to use your plugin and am providing these feedbacks in the hopes of helping to improve it. Thank you,
Cemal
