In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Waste of time…Hi there, apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I initially thought I was speaking with one of your representatives in our support ticket, but it seems that might have been with a different company.
I’m currently trying to locate an associated ticket or chat logs using the company name, email (from your website), and user “eruptmedia,” but I haven’t been able to find one. Could you share the ticket ID with me here? I’d be happy to assist further there, as that involves the premium plugin, which I can’t address in this forum.
Thank you so much for your patience—I really appreciate it!

I completely understand how frustrating these experiences must be. I want to reassure, that your concerns are not being ignored. We’ve identified the issues you mentioned → particularly the critical error related to the missing
tribe_is_truthy()function. This is actively on our radar, and our development team is working hard on a fix that we plan to release as soon as possible.Regarding the other challenges you shared, like email inconsistencies and ticket capacity calculations in Event Tickets Plus, we’d be keen to learn more. However, since these are related to our premium plugin, we’re unable to address them in this forum due to the .org guidelines. It would be great if you could submit a support ticket through our premium support portal or share your existing ticket ID here so we can follow up directly.
Your feedback is truly valuable in helping us improve, and we appreciate your patience as we continue working on these. Once the fix is released, we’ll ensure it’s announced to everyone here.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Good plugin, but ridiculous price increaseHi @beckseden, thank you so much for being a loyal user of our plugin over the past year and for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear the plugin has helped you showcase your craft fairs and workshop days!
I know that price increases are tough. By increasing our pricing and adding new products to Events Calendar Pro (and our other Tickets product) we are considering the longevity of our teams and products as a whole and have made the decision to increase pricing.
Since this concerns the premium/pro plugin, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Success Team — helpdesk for assistance and we’ll review your account and see how we can help you out on your renewal!
Have a great day.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I can understand how frustrating it must be. Just to clarify, HubSpot isn’t directly built into our plugin, but you can use the HubSpot Extension, which works with both the free and Plus/Pro versions. However, if you’re looking to gather more detailed information through custom registration fields, you would need the Plus/Pro version of Event Tickets Plus for that functionality.
The suggestion to downgrade PHP was made as a potential solution based on known compatibility, but I see how that might not feel like an ideal workaround. We value your input, and I’ll make sure your concerns about support speed and escalation options are noted for improvement.
Since you’re using a premium plugin with an active license, our guidelines require us to provide support through our helpdesk. I wasn’t able to locate the ticket linked to your issue, so if you haven’t already, could you please create a new ticket there? This way, we can assist you directly and give your case the attention it deserves.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] This plugin is a hoaxThank you for sharing your thoughts, and I understand this could frustrating about the confusion regarding the Free and Premium features. That’s correct to use the
shortcodeyou would need the pro version, however you should be able to create events with the free version still. The default URL is/eventsfor the archive page and/eventfor the single page. Which also gives you the option to update this URL/slug, to change the Calendar Location for the Free version, mentioned by @awwd here.If you need any help with the features available in the free version, feel free to create a new topic, and we’d be happy to assist!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] This plugin can’t find events created with this pluginHi there, apologies for the delay here.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I do understand your frustration here. We totally understand how challenging it can be when things don’t work as expected, especially after trying so many troubleshooting steps on your own.
We appreciate you taking the time and effort debugging so far. The fact that the
wp-tectables aren’t being created and you’re seeing the “Page Not Found” error might indicate a deeper conflict that we’d love to help you investigate further. Some more ideas here, couple of things you might want to check as well:
- Database Permissions: Sometimes, missing tables are caused by the database not having proper permissions.
- Permalink Settings: It seems you’ve already tried resetting them, but make sure they’re saved after the plugin install to ensure slugs work properly.
- Error Logs: If you haven’t already, enabling WordPress debugging might reveal more about what’s causing the issue. It can be done by adding
define('WP_DEBUG', true);to yourwp-config.phpfile.
I see that our team has already responded to your questions on the support threads. Since this is the review section, we won’t be able to dive into the issue further here, but we’d be keen to continue helping you in the topics you’ve opened. Please feel free to keep the conversation going there!

We’re keen to take a closer look at the ticket you reported, if you’re able to share the ticket ID from your correspondence with the support team. We’d like to keep in touch in our HelpDesk, this for us to follow WordPress.org community guidelines regarding this.
Your feedback about testing and documentation is noted, and we’ll keep these points in mind as we aim to improve the overall experience for our users. Again, thank you for your insights on both plugins here.
Best,
AbzHi there,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding The Events Calendar and Event Ticket plugins. We truly value input from community, as it helps bring attention to areas where improvements may be needed.
We understand your concerns about the release testing and documentation not fully aligning with the actual behavior of the plugins. While developers aim to ensure thorough testing, real-world usage can sometimes highlight issues that may not arise during internal testing processes. We see this as a room for improvement.
We also acknowledge your comments about the documentation and appreciate you bringing this to the community’s attention. Feedback like this is vital in helping everyone understand how our plugins work in different environments. If you’re able to share any specific URLs/links where the documentation didn’t match the plugin’s functionality, we’d be keen to help correct those. In reply to: [The Events Calendar] PHP 8.2 causing error when using Event List widgetHope you’re doing good. Apologies for the delay here.
Thank you for sharing your detailed testing results. This information is helpful and will narrow things down. Based on your findings, it appears that there is a compatibility issue between PHP 8.2, the Classic Widgets plugin, and our plugin. Yes could be that it is using old code and not compatible when used on the same page.
Appreciate you sharing this workaround here:
For now we can work around this by making sure we have a placeholder event in place that has an end date in the future.
It seems like you’re using the classic widget for the sidebar, since you can add the Events Calendar widget directly using the block editor on the page. For now your workaround should work, or if you’re not using it for other plugins, would be great to deactivate the Classic Widgets Plugin temporarily.
I’d share this with our team, and get back to you on this. Appreciate your patience here.
I understand the frustration of dealing with recurring error logs that keep bloating your storage. It’s definitely not ideal to have to manually delete them every 10 days.
Let me check in with the team and get back to you on this.Forum: Reviews
