A custom sidebar named “Facebook Feed” was created with a Text widget for the shortcode of a Facebook feed. The sidebar was assigned in certain pages to the Secondary sidebar and the pages updated. The feed appears in those pages and no others. If, however, any of those modified pages are edited the custom sidebar must again be reassigned – the feed’s attribute for the Secondary sidebar is not selected in the dropdown.

  • Hello @geowb

    Hope you are doing well!

Sorry, you’re experiencing some trouble with this. I’ve tested the Custom Sidebars from my end and could not replicate this issue. Often, if something stops working, it’s due to a conflict. Please run a quick check for a conflict with another plugin or theme.

Deactivate all other plugins, switch to a default WordPress theme, edit the page and check if the default sidebar is still selected. If everything is well, activate one plugin at a time to find the one that causes this.

Please let us know how it went!

    Cheers,
    Nastia
