Hi @donstevens,
Currently we don’t have a system for creating separate links to different versions of the book on a single book page. Currently, if you need these links to be separated, you need to make two different book pages for them.
This may be something we add to the plugin in the future though. Could you describe what kind of functionality you would want from the plugin to achieve this goal?

In reply to: [MyBookTable Bookstore by Stormhill Media] Make book pages full widthHi @beccarosenkrans,
I’m seeing the book blurb as the same on both pages you linked: Both have the exact text “In 1943, during World War II, Pam meets the Women’s Air Force Service Pilots, and discovers exactly what she wants to be. She even begins to build her very own plane. But when her friend becomes sick, Pam has to decide what is most important. An adaptation of WINDSHIFT by Joyce Faulkner”. Can you clarify further what the issue is here?
As for the issue with the individual book pages showing an empty sidebar, this seems to be an artifact caused by the theme you are running. We have but a lot of effort into making MyBookTable as compatible as possible with as many themes as we can, but unfortunately it is impossible to provide 100% compatibility with all WordPress themes out of the box. You can try toggling Theme Compatability Mode in the MyBookTable settings, but this may lead to other worse visual problems on your MyBookTable pages. The only way for you to have 100% compatibility with your theme is to create custom PHP templates that allows MyBookTable to integrate with your theme’s style. You can read more about this process on our wiki here.
As for the problem with the mismatching image sizes, this is caused by the sidebar appearing on the individual book pages. The book image sizes are not correlated to exact widths, but to percentage widths of the page size. Since the individual book pages are narrower, the image will be smaller. This can be over-ridden with custom theme CSS if you have a theme developer willing to make these modifications to the theme.

In reply to: [MyBookTable Bookstore by Stormhill Media] Upgrade Key not workingDo you happen to have GoDaddy hosting? We’ve had this complaint before from GoDaddy customers and unfortunately GoDaddy has not been cooperative in fixing this issue with their servers.
In any case, since you have an Upgrade you can access our premium support via our website to get this issue resolved: http://www.authormedia.com/support/

In reply to: [MyBookTable Bookstore by Stormhill Media] Author vs. IllustratorHey Winding Oak,
I just wanted to let you know we appreciate your feedback and we’re experimenting with various ideas to try to make it easier for people to add book metadata like this. I can’t describe the details of what the system will look like yet but hopefully we will have something that will allow you to do this more easily soon.

In reply to: [MyBookTable Bookstore by Stormhill Media] Amazon Buy Now ButtonHi @angikeeley,
In the current version of MyBookTable, the Amazon and iTunes buy buttons look different from the other buttons in order to comply with their corporate trademark guidelines. These companies have strict rules on how their logos can be used on websites and we’ve been trying to better comply with these rules in our plugin.
However in upcoming versions of MyBookTable we’re planning on implementing better solutions to this problem for people who want their buy buttons to all look the same. Stay tuned for our next update which should be released soon.

In reply to: [MyBookTable Bookstore by Stormhill Media] Share Buttons missing on BooksHi @qcerotica, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
The short answer is yes, MyBookTable book pages are currently simply not compatible with how Jetpack implements it’s share feature.
However, adding support for this is something that would not be difficult for us to implement, and seems like something that could benefit a lot of users, so we’ll look into adding support for this in an upcoming update. Thanks for the suggestion.

We’ve put a lot of effort into trying to make MyBookTable as compatible as possible with as many themes as we can, but unfortunately it’s not possible for MyBookTable to work perfectly with all themes out of the box.
It does look like MyBookTable’s Compatibility Mode system is confusing your theme’s navigation menu. You can try turning off Compatibility Mode from the MyBookTable settings page on the Setup tab.
However, turning off Compatibility Mode might cause other problems with your theme. The only way to guarantee full compatibility with your theme is to create a template file that MyBookTable can use to integrate properly with your theme. You can read more about this on our developer wiki <a href=”
https://github.com/authormedia/mybooktable/wiki/Fixing-Theme-Problems”>here. This is generally quite easy if you are familiar with PHP development, you just need to copy/paste the right parts from the theme’s code to the MyBookTable template.~Tim
Hi @webgirlie,
When setting up the plugin you should have seen a confirmation screen that looks like this.
This message is intended to explain this behavior. These tags added to the URLS are our affiliate link tags, which are added in order to allow further development of MyBookTable. We put a lot of time and effort into fixing bugs, providing support, and creating new features for MyBookTable which would not be possible without financial support. If you would like to help support us directly and remove or replace these affiliate tags, please consider purchasing a MyBookTable Upgrade plugin from our website here. Alternatively, you can simply entirely disable the buy buttons that include affiliate links in your MyBookTable install by going to the “Earn” tab on the MyBookTable settings page, and scrolling down to the “Amazon and Barnes & Noble Buy Buttons enabled!” message, and hitting the “Disable” button.

In reply to: [MyBookTable Bookstore by Stormhill Media] Amazon Buy Button@paross, it looks like your theme is not compatible with MyBookTable. It is generating some Javascript that is interfering with the Shadow Box Buy Buttons. You should either turn off the Shadow Box or try using a different theme (I would test to make sure it is working with the built in WordPress themes).

In reply to: [MyBookTable Bookstore by Stormhill Media] Amazon Buy ButtonYou may have a problem with the Amazon URL that you used to create the buy button, or it could be some sort of incompatibility with something else on your website.
Could you post a link to the book page that should be should be displaying the buy button, and post the Amazon link you have entered for that buy button, so we can see?

In reply to: [MyBookTable Bookstore by Stormhill Media] Two or more Booktables? It is not possible to have two MyBookTable installs on the same site.
The recommended way to achieve what you want is instead of directly linking to your Book Table Page on your menus and sidebars, which will list all of your books, link directly to the Author pages, which will list only the books of that particular author. It will still be possible for users to find the main Book Table page that lists all the books together, but prominently displaying the author pages as separate is usually enough to clearly denote separation for most of our users.
If you absolutely need stronger separation than this, the only solution is to extend the MyBookTable functionality with custom PHP development.

In reply to: [MyBookProgress by Stormhill Media] Progress Tab is BlankThat is strange, we haven’t had any reports of only the initial tab being blank. MyBookProgress must be reacting badly to something unusual about your server configuration.
I might be able to deduce more if you can provide me with the output of the JavaScript Console of your browser on the MyBookProgress page. The JavaScript Console has debug information that might hold information about the cause of your problems. You can google for instructions on how to open your browser’s JavaScript Console, or use a guide such as this one. Please copy and paste all output you see in the JavaScript console and leave it as a reply here in this thread.

In reply to: [MyBookProgress by Stormhill Media] Progress Tab is BlankHi magnusarias,
First, I would try temporarily disabling the other plugins you have installed, to see if them being active is what is causing the problem. If you disable them and the problem goes away, re-enable them one at a time to determine which one is causing the issue. If you can narrow it down to a single plugin incompatibility, I should be able to give you more specific advice on how to solve the issue you are seeing.

In reply to: [MyBookTable Bookstore by Stormhill Media] change path of authorsYou would need to use custom PHP development to achieve this, as this is not something we’re planning on supporting out of the box. You will want to use the “mbt_get_book_authors_list” book to filter the output of the authors links.
