In reply to: [Weaver Xtreme] Version 3 SuggestionsUsing any kind of fixed size font size is not a good idea since it is not responsive.
The current font size options were very carefully designed to work optimally for responsive sites.
The titles and taglines can easily have transparent backgrounds now – simply put the word ‘transparent’ in the color box.

In reply to: [Weaver Show Posts] Thumnnail sizeThis turns out to not be a simple question.
There are several things that will factor into this question.
There is no option in the plugin to control this as it will always use the thumbnail size by default. There are several factors that can change this – mostly depending on exactly which theme you are using the plugin with.
There is an option in the Current Filter box called “Native Theme Support”. If you check the option to disable this, you should get the thumbnail size of the FI (assuming there is a thumbnail size in the media library – this is not always true), although the layout of the posts might not then match your theme’s layout.
If that option does then start to display a thumbnail size, then the issue is that the plugin is using the post display layout provided by your host, and the size of the FI is no longer under control of the plugin.
For more help, would need the name of your theme and preferably a link to the site.

In reply to: [Google Drive Media Library] What is GDML-Mapping?Attempting to get low-level access to a post’s attachments will result in a return address of http://GDML-Mapping/example.jpg, which is not real.
So, I’m guessing that your plugin stores the image’s address in the Media Library as GDML-Mapping, and not the actual URL. But at some level of the WP API, your plugin will replace the GDML-mapping with the real address. It just doesn’t do that at the lowest level.
I worked around this by searching for GDML-mapping in an image address as provided by low-level WP API calls, and then simply replacing that with the real URL obtained using a different API.
It is necessary for my plguin to use a low-level system call.

In reply to: [Weaver Xtreme] Users Complaining of Problems On Mobile SiteAnd for anyone else reading this discussion, neither of the issues described in the original post can be reproduced by any of our other users.
There are no other known problems with posting comments, and the mobile menu is in fact one of the best mobile menus available on any site. It follows customary mobile web design, and will close only when the visitor either switches pages, or clicks the menu hamburger a second time to close the menu. This is correct behavior.

In reply to: [Weaver Xtreme] Users Complaining of Problems On Mobile SiteThe forum is also free, and actively supported.
We simply do not provide support here. Sorry.
If you don’t want a great theme with great support on a dedicated forum, perhaps you have made the wrong choice.

In reply to: [Weaver II] Excellent and versatile themeWe agree that Weaver II is not the latest and greatest, but our new successor to Weaver II is! We’ve just released Weaver Xtreme, and it has all the features of Weaver II, but with a new option interface, and new design layouts that let you create a totally modern custom web site.
We appreciate your positive review of Weaver II, but recommend new sites be built using Weaver Xtreme – a fresh choice with even more design options.

In reply to: [Theme Check] Theme Check Fails in I18N.php checkFollow up:
I think it is a memory issue. I can remove translations from the bottom of the file, and and after I remove enough of them, it works again.
This was on my local 64MB MAMP server – kept to 64MB to better match real world hosting sites.
The file it failed on has the most translation strings, and after I split it in two, it works okay.
This issue may occur more often with the new requirement to have all strings wrapped in translation functions.
Don’t know if you want to call this solved or not -but it is an issue.

In reply to: [Gabfire Widget Pack] This plug violates official WordPress policyThis is great response from the plugin author – more than one can usually expect.
The interface for using the different modules is very nice, and it allowed me to quickly discover why this plugin was breaking my theme, Weaver II.
Nice to see this quick response.
Without the incorrect jQuery version, this plugin appears to work as described.

In reply to: [Weaver Show Posts] css errorsThe plugins load only the code needed to make the slider work, and they really aren’t “heavy”.
But I have no idea what you mean by css errors and declaration dropped. You must be very specific and provide exact examples of what you mean in order to get any feedback on those issues.
