Hi @moon1008,
You should be able to get the excerpt to display by editing either the post-loop.php template or the index.php template. However, WPtouch free does not support child themes, so we would advise against editing the core templates. This is because any changes to the themes or the plugin will be overwritten in an event of an update.
WPtouch Pro does support child themes and we can assist you with this modification.
Hi @masterross,
WPtouch loads its own theme, independent of the desktop theme. So it can’t ‘see’ what is in the desktop theme. You can definitely replicate this in WPtouch Pro using its child theme feature/support. Editing the theme in WPtouch free is possible, but your changes will be overwritten in an event of an update.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] Wp touchi noticed that in general settings, it doesn’t appear advanced settings, and re-agent users, but only 4-5 buttons, like mobile site title, landing page, display.
Additional settings are only available in WPtouch Pro. WPtouch free options are more limited, but they still allow you to have a mobile version of your WordPress site. It also includes various other options in the Customizer via Appearance > Customize.
If you’re not using visual composer to add content to your posts or pages, the warning can be ignored. The warning is displayed when WPtouch detects visual composer on a website. Content added via the standard WordPress editor (including Gutenberg) will be displayed in WPtouch without issue.
You can add custom css to Appearance > Customize > Custom CSS in the free version as well.
Hi Kristin,
Yes, it is compatible with the latest version of WordPress.
It sounds like the Ultra theme you are using is hiding/blocking the Customizer settings for WPtouch. To verify, you can very briefly activate a Twenty-Something default theme and see if that makes the difference. If you see the Customizer settings when a default theme is active, you can make the css changes then, and then switch back to your Ultra theme.
Hi,
I’m looking at the /recipes page in the desktop theme, and I also don’t see any content. So it doesn’t look like this is an issue specific to WPtouch.
We can’t provide support for an unlicensed copy.
For WPtouch Pro support, please contact us by e-mailing is at support[at]wptouch.com, preferably from the e-mail address under your WPtouch Pro account and we’ll be happy to help. Thank you.
Hi @gitesforsale,
Sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having. It’s not the experience we want any user of WPtouch to have.
The latest version of WPtouch is compatible with the latest version of WordPress. We haven’t seen other reports of incompatibilities, and I re-tested both latest versions locally now and can’t seem to reproduce any issue like this.
There’s a chance that the issue on your website is not directly related to a conflict between WPtouch and WordPress 5.0.3.
In any case, we’d like to help you resolve the issue so that you can continue using WPtouch. When you say your website crashed, can you explain the exact behavior? Did you see any error messages on screen? If so, what are the error messages? Thank you.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] Menu is incompleteTaking a closer look at this, I see that it isn’t that the menu is missing any items. The issue is that you have customized the theme’s stylesheet to increase the height of the header area and header image. This is causing it to ‘hide’ the “Home” menu item.
Add the CSS below to Appearance > Customize > Custom CSS to push the menu down so that it’s fully visible.
.menu-tree {
padding-top: 46px !important;
}Also, I see that you’re using WPtouch Pro, going forward please use the contact form in our support area or e-mail us directly to support[at]wptouch.com. This way, we can ensure that you get timely support. Thank you.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] Menu is incompleteHi @meitnel,
Sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having. Please check if the WPtouch theme has a custom WordPress menu assigned to it via Appearance > Menus > Manage Locations.
If it doesn’t, assign an existing WordPress menu, or create a new one for the mobile theme, for full control of the items and the order they appear in in the mobile theme.
