In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] WPTouch Not WorkingI’m assuming you want to show the blog post list, like in the desktop theme. If that’s the case, go to Settings > General > Landing Pages > Posts page and select the Blog page as the Posts page.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] WPTouch Not WorkingI have the url, you can edit your message if you don’t want your url public anymore. I’ll take a look and get back to you soon.
“So I’d assume the website renders the desktop version to Google bot from time to time…”
Yes, this is what I suspect may be happening here. WPtouch themes are optimized for mobile and they shouldn’t be triggering those warnings in Google’s Mobile Friendly test tool. I would recommend checking with your web hosting provider if there is any other type of caching (server-side) active on the site. If there is, it should also be configured to ignore the user agent list.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] WPTouch Not WorkingHi @petecomwest,
Yes, Bauhaus is the only theme available in WPtouch free.
Please share the url of the site in question so that we can see and inspect the issue you are describing.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] Theme per pageHi Patrick,
Yes, with WPtouch Pro and its child theme support, you can assign a custom page template on a per-page basis.
Are your links symlinks? How are you linking to the templates in another directory?
WPtouch free does not officially include support for custom page templates. We haven’t seen this type of setup before, so I couldn’t say why archive.php isn’t kicking in like the other templates.
You can enable WordPress Debugging to see if the logs show where things are failing. You can enable it per the instructions here – https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/
Hi @vshukla,
Sorry to hear about the trouble you were having. It’s not the experience we want any WPtouch user to have.
WPtouch is compatible with the latest version of WordPress. It could be a coincidence that you noticed the issue after updating, but updating it shouldn’t have caused that issue.
Now that the caching plugin has been configured to play nicely with WPtouch, I wouldn’t expect the issue to persist. If it does, let us know and we’ll be happy to further investigate. Thank you.
Hi @airdrummer,
Sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. If the content on that page is added directly to a custom template file, and the template file is in the desktop theme, then WPtouch won’t be able to ‘see’ the template file and the content in it.
Let us know a little more about how the content on the page is being added and we’ll have a better idea of why it’s not showing up in the WPtouch theme. Thanks.
Hi @robertnando1,
The steps require the installation of the Mobile Content extension, which can only be done in WPtouch Pro. From there, it’s as simple as adding content to a page or post, that you want your mobile visitors to see.
When the Mobile Content extension is active, you’ll see the “WPtouch Alternate Mobile Content” editor area when editing each post or page. Content added there will only be shown in the mobile theme and will not affect the desktop theme and its content at all.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] WPTouch Not WorkingLooking at the site via Chrome’s JavaScript console, I see an error related to the mailchimp signup form. To verify, briefly deactivate the mailchimp plugin and refresh the WPtouch theme and see if the menu then works.
If it doesn’t right away, try deleting the /wp-content/wptouch-data/cache/wptouch-051121c47a6554ab11aba8996de201fd95cef9b3.js file via FTP. A new one will be generated next time you load the WPtouch theme.
Hi @nbrowe46,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the WPtouch plugin. It’s not the experience we want any of its users to have.
At this time, only the MobileStore theme includes official support for WooCommerce. You can see some of its features and a live demo site of it here – https://www.wptouch.com/themes/mobilestore/
It is a WPtouch Pro-only theme, so it requires an update to WPtouch Pro.
