    Isidro1984,

So far my ‘new order’ eMails are working.

Have you posted a problem ticket?

If you can, let me know…. otherwise I’ll try.

    Thanks …
    Bob

    Raquel,

Are you getting emails when an order status is changed? For example from ‘Pending’ to ‘cancelled’. Try ordering something yourself & cancel the order (for example let PayPal timeout — takes a few hours) OR manually cancel the order (WP admin — WC — orders). In either of these situations, I don’t get the cancellation email.

When I place an order, I do get the email.

The same email address is used for ORDER & CANCELLATIONs. sales@mysite.com
I’ve tried with different mail types: webMail and SMTP/IMAP.

Maybe this will work with a fresh installation, such as yours??

WP: 3.8, Woo: 3.10 (I am seriously “afraid” of updating to 3.11 — LOL, but not really funny).

    Thanks,

    Bob

Well I guess I will join the club.
My Cancellation emails don’t work, but order emails do. Both directed to the same email address (web Mail, not to eMail client – sales@mydomain.com). One suggestion I’ve seen is to set up an eMAIL client. That didn’t help me. Also, I set eMail to my personal email account (IMAP/SMTP) & still no luck with Cancellation emails … Order emails worked fine.

I don’t know if this ever worked, as I am 3 weeks old with these products & my new website.

I’ve posted/ replied to other posts on just this problem. No resolutions yet.

This whole development platform (WP, WC, …) is not robust enough & is too fragmented. It does 95% very well. The 5% can have “interesting effects” many are awful / potential show stoppers. This email problem is just an example (although not devistating for me). Also too much coding required. I’ve no time for this. I may be shopping …

    Good Luck,,,

Mike … one more thing … this happened immediately after upgrade from 3.09 to 3.10 to an existing product.

    Mike …
Thanks for asking for a support ticket. Unfortunately I have deleted the product that was giving me trouble (after creating the new replacement one).

This has not happened again. If it does, I’ll create a ticket.

FYI .. It also happened in the Incognito browser .. ie. fresh start!!
WP: 4.8, WC: 3.10 (3.11 wasn’t available when this happened), I’ll upgrade asap.

I had a similar problem what Tarzan61 is having. A particular variable product’s image was getting “messed up”. The only way I can describe it is that the picture showed with “junk / leftover” images. EVEN when I used an image that worked perfectly with another product, the problem persisted. I tried to duplicate the product, remove image / re-add image … all to no avail.

The only way I found to clear the problem was to —
    1) Mark the product that I was having trouble to DRAFT.
    2) Create a NEW product … (with characteristics of the problem product). Add images, properties … etc as you need.

    This NEW product worked fine…

    Hope this works for you.

    Hi all,
Mike’s reply gives an excellent view of PayPal. The message you’re getting is a PayPal timeout. It happens when a customer get to the PayPal payment page & doesn’t complete the payment / closes their browser, etc. This time out happens after a few hours.

The customer may THINK he/she didn’t cancel, but in fact they just forgot to pay & therefore the order is cancelled by PayPal. There may be nothing wrong. This is what is supposed to happen. [Try it. Order something, go to PayPal & don’t complete payment. Check WC Orders (admin dashboard) note status. In a few hours check it again. You’ll see the order note as you describe. Status will have changed from pending payment to cancelled].

This ‘time out cancellation’ has nothing to do with stock management.
    = = = = = = = = = = =

I am having a problem that when a customer doesn’t pay & the order status changes to ‘Cancelled’ (due to a PayPal timeout), I do NOT get an email of that cancellation. Are you experiencing that as well OR do you get that cancellation email?

Sorry to ask a question in reply to yours, hope that’s ok.

    Thanks..

In reply to: [WooCommerce] nice plugin

WC is very good. However it should be a bit more robust, especially for simple things.
For example, I’ve set it up so I get an email when an order is placed (NEW ORDER), AND when it is cancelled. Sounds great… except I don’t get an email when an order is cancelled. I do get an email when the order is placed (NEW ORDER).

Let me know if the Cancelled Order email option works for you.

If it does, maybe we can discuss settings.

    Thanks …
    Bob
