In reply to: [3CX Free Live Chat, Calls & Messaging] DOESNT WORK?Hi Tyler,
We’ve removed the option to initiate a chat with a customer directly due to privacy concerns & the load it creates on your server. This functionality will make it back later.
In the latest version, you can only chat with a user if they start the chat on their side.

Hi there,
Unfortunately we’ve had to remove triggers in the latest version of the plugin. They will be coming back later.

In reply to: [3CX Free Live Chat, Calls & Messaging] over 1000 users cant see themHi Tyler,
In this release you may only chat with someone that has actually requested chat support.
We’ve removed the ability to initiate a chat with a user from the agent’s side. We did this as we plan to re-make this feature from scratch again later on since the current one doesn’t 100% meet the privacy standards we want to set. Also this function was heavy on your wp server.
If you need the old version, it can still be downloaded here from the bottom of the page:

In reply to: [3CX Free Live Chat, Calls & Messaging] DOESNT WORK?Hi Tyler,
In the new update, normal agents / users with low permissions have access only to what they need to perform live chat. These users have access only to the Live Chat page and the Missed Chats page.
WordPress Administrators have access to all options as shown here:
The reason we made this change is to disallow normal wordpress users like Editors, Authors, Publishers from having access to sensitive data like your plugin settings, chat history, exporting all of your data etc. These are functions that should only be accessible by Administrators.
If you’re a wordpress administrator on your site and you’re still not seeing all tabs, please deactivate and reactivate the plugin. This should fix the issue. Also make sure your administrator in ‘WordPress > Users > Make this user a chat agent’ is enabled.
Let us know how it goes.

In reply to: [3CX Free Live Chat, Calls & Messaging] Connecting to chat server…Hi there,
Do you have full root access to your wordpress server or is it just a hosted instance with some kind of cpanel access?
If you have full root access, can you see if wplc.3cx.net and chatserver001.3cx.net are reachable? Also if you can provide me your website name/fqdn, i can do an inverse check from these servers and see if your site is reachable.
Also as a temporary fix, you can set the plugin to On-Premise mode. It will use your wordpress install as the chat server. Chat will be a bit slower in this mode and the ‘Typing’ function won’t work, but at least chat will work. You can do this from the Settings > Advanced Settings > Mode Selection area.
Can you please point us to the gravity forms plugin you’re using? We’d like to test this ourselves. There’s a lot of gravity forms plugins in WordPress.
In the version the rights are a bit different.
As an administrator with the ‘Make this user a chat agent’ enabled, you should see:wplc_ma_agent, wplc_cap_show_history, wplc_cap_show_offline
Can you deactivate and re-activate the plugin? This should re-set the permissions. Also we’ll take a look at why it didn’t do this from the start.
This is what you should see if everything starts working fine:
Hi there,
We’re going to either add or completely remove the js.map file dependency in the next version so that you don’t see this error. It’s not related to anything and doesn’t affect anything just fyi.
Glad to hear font awesome is fixed.
Regarding the missing sub-menus, you can see these if you login to your WordPress installation as an administrator. For the moment, Administrators have access to the full plugin, anyone else can only see the ‘Live Chat’ and ‘Missed Chats’ pages. In one of the next few releases you’ll be able to grant more permissions to any user to have access to any page you like. The idea is that regular users should not have access to the plugin settings or sensitive information like Chat History, export chat, backup etc.
