In reply to: [Nonprofit Board Management] Output committee membersThanks for contacting us, kasm6654. It is possible to output all the committees, members and information on a page by using the [list_board_members] shortcode. Here’s a quick video detailing usage of the shortcode: https://youtu.be/kYdP0dtueEE
If you require modification of the output, you can customize the list-board-members.php template file by copying it into your theme and making any necessary changes there. To do this though, you’ll need to be or work with someone who is comfortable developing in WordPress.
Let us know if that helps or if you have any further questions. We’ll be happy to help!
Casey

In reply to: [Nonprofit Board Management] Handling Polls or Motion VotesGlad to hear it’s done. I’ve gone ahead and put a voting feature on our list for the future. We’d also love to hear how your adjusted system works after a while.
Good luck.

In reply to: [Nonprofit Board Management] Handling Polls or Motion VotesLet me see if I can help a little. Try this:
Original String: Who’s Coming?
Text domain: nonprofit-board-management (Use this every time)
Text context: (Always leave this blank)
Replacement String: Yes votesAnd here is another example:
Original String: I’m Going
Text domain: nonprofit-board-management
Text context: (Always leave this blank)
Replacement String: YesI hope that’s helpful. If it doesn’t work at any point you likely aren’t entering the entire string of text.
Good luck and let me know if any other questions come up.

In reply to: [Nonprofit Board Management] Handling Polls or Motion VotesThat’s a great suggestion @klaatu909 and I think allowing members to vote would be really helpful for boards that use the plugin.
If you’re looking to accomplish something similar to this now take a look at the plugin at https://wordpress.org/plugins/say-what/. It allows you to change the text the plugin shows without altering the code. That way if you want to set up the system to work for voting at this point you could. I know there are also a number of voting plugins you could try out.
Good luck and let us know if you have any other questions.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] Feature requests and suggestionsThanks for your kind words Natalie and for your suggestions on new features. The attendance tracking was definitely on our list, but automatically filling out information for logged-in volunteers was not. That’s a great idea and has been added to our list of potential features.
Also, since the plugin is so new, we’d love it if you’d take a moment to leave an honest review at https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/wired-impact-volunteer-management.
Thanks again for your thoughts and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or more ideas in the future.
Jonathan

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] Post opportunities to different pathThanks for reaching out @bamchenry. In order to show your volunteer opportunities on the /volunteers page you’ll need to add one of the two shortcodes within that page’s content. For one-time opportunities write
[one_time_volunteer_opps]and for flexible opportunities use[flexible_volunteer_opps].It’s important to note, you can’t post both types of opportunities on the same page. Please list only one of the shortcodes on each page.
Let us know if you have any trouble at all.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] I don't see the sign up buttonSince we haven’t heard back we’ll go ahead and mark this resolved. Please let us know if you need anymore help.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] page widthThanks for the details Lori. It appears the Twenty Fourteen theme doesn’t work well with the plugin out of the box. This is something we plan to look into in the next few weeks, but it is worth noting that the plugin files are templated.
In order to adjust the single volunteer opportunity template you can copy the plugin file at templates/opp-single.php into your current theme’s folder within another folder called “wivm” and adjust it as needed.
Let me know if you need some more direction on that front and we’ll do our best to help out.
Have a good one.
