Thanks for the kind words Leo. Unfortunately, displaying volunteers that signed up for a specific opportunity on the frontend of the website is not possible with the plugin. You could do this with some custom programming, but there isn’t a simple way to do it at the moment.
Let us know if you have any other questions and I’m sorry we can’t be more helpful.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] A few thingsThanks for reaching out @lerettcp. I’ll try to answer your questions one at a time:
– Is there the ability to add to the list of information a volunteer fills out when signing up?
At this point you can not add custom fields to the form. This allowed us to keep the plugin simple and easy to use.
– Is there the ability to set opportunities up in groups so a different person can get at the information for a particular group?
No, there is not a way to group the volunteer opportunities at this time.
– does the plugin have the ability to not allow a volunteer to register for shifts with overlapping times
No, individuals can sign up for any events they want. It’s up to them and the administrators to make sure people don’t sign up for two opportunities that occur at the same time.
– Is there the ability to upload a number of opportunities?
I’m not exactly sure what you mean by this one. Can you give me a little more detail?
Regarding the issue you’re seeing within your screenshot, that’s most likely caused by the fact that you turned off the plugin’s CSS styles. Within the admin, visit Volunteer Mgmt >> Help & Settings >> General >> and choose “Yes, please provide basic styling.” for the “Load Plugin CSS?” option.
I hope that’s helpful. Let me know how it goes.

In reply to: Missed ScheduleThanks Andrew. Our client is using their managed WordPress setup, so it’s likely something with their configuration. Caching is used on a ton of hosting platforms and have never seen this issue, so it must be a specific system within GoDaddy.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] Opportunities list shows on sign up pageSorry that you’re still dealing with this and unfortunately, I’ve never seen this issue before. The easiest approach would be to add the following code into your style.css file:
.single-volunteer_opp .post-navigation { display: none; }Another option, which requires a little more technical knowledge, is to find the template file which displays the post navigation and remove the functions that do this. You’re most likely looking for code that says
previous_post_link()andnext_post_link().I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful. It’s hard to troubleshoot without seeing the theme files themselves. If those two options don’t work I’m happy to look at the theme files, but that would require you give me access, which I would understand if you’re not comfortable with.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] Groups? This is a tricky one @canar. There isn’t an easy way to do this in the system as it stands now. I think you can take one of two approaches:
- The easiest approach would be to include the team name in the name of the volunteer opportunity. So, you would name the opportunities something like “Team 1 – Volunteer for….”, “Team 2 – Volunteer for….”. This of course doesn’t prevent people from accidentally signing up for the wrong opportunities, but it would be simple.
- The more complicated, but also more accurate approach would be custom programming an extension to the plugin which allows for the functionality you’re looking for. This would most likely be expensive, but let me know if you’d like us to give you a bid.
I hope that’s helpful. Let me know what you think.
Jonathan
Wired ImpactThat’s the tricky part. We haven’t released any updates recently, so it most likely has to do with a change to a theme setting or one of the theme files. Do you remember what changes you made around when it stopped showing up?
Also, it looks like you’re using WP Engine for hosting, so if you’re comfortable with their tools, you can check the error logs which should give you an idea.
I hope that’s helpful. Let me know how it goes.

Wired ImpactThanks, and I can see what you’re referring to. This is most likely an issue with the theme or a conflict with another plugin. Can you switch to the default WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme to see if the page continues not to load?
If that doesn’t work, would you mind disabling the other plugins on the site briefly to see if that fixes the problem?
Jonathan
Wired ImpactI’m sorry to hear you’re running into issues @annac1979. Would you mind sending me a link to where you’re seeing the issue? Also, just to be sure, did you follow the instructions at https://wordpress.org/plugins/wired-impact-volunteer-management/faq/ under the heading “How do you create a new volunteer opportunity?” to list your opportunity?
I’m looking forward to hearing back from you.
