Thanks for reaching out @rickpugh. It looks like both of the issues you’re running into will likely be resolved if the styling for the plugin is turned on. To do that follow these steps:
1. Log in to the WordPress admin
2. Visit “Volunteer Mgmt” >> “Help & Settings” in the admin menu.
3. Click the “General” tab at the top.
4. Ensure “Yes, please provide basic styling.” is chosen for “Load Plugin CSS?” and save your changes. Here is a screenshot of where the setting is located.

I hope that’s helpful. Let me know how it goes.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] Text issueThanks for reaching out @thomasrendleman. Are you using the
[flexible_volunteer_opps]shortcode to display the upcoming volunteer opportunities? If not, you may want to use it since it will display the appropriate styling automatically.Good luck and let us know how it goes.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] Find Out More is not translatedI’m going to go ahead and mark this task as resolved since it seems like you were able to get the translation files to work and we have two other open tickets covering the phone numbers and the times. If you do have a moment, it would be great for you to confirm that folks can put their translation files in
/wp-content/languages/plugins/.Thanks again.

In reply to: [Wired Impact Volunteer Management] non-US date format won’t saveClement, as I noted for the phone numbers, the datepicker now allows for full translation. It would be great if you could test it out with your own .po and .mo translation files so we can make sure it works as expected. Thanks a ton for all your help.

In reply to: [Nonprofit Board Management] Add Existing MembersThanks for the detailed response Kat. Since we’re able to get this working for the Author role, your issue must be related to either a theme or plugin conflict, or the changes that have already been made to the roles using User Role Editor. Given that setting up custom roles as board members is outside the scope of free support, we’re happy to provide you a price to work through the issue if you’d like. Let me know if you’d prefer to go that route so we can discuss next steps.
Have a great day.

Thanks for reaching out @bacasper911. By default, the volunteer management plugin uses the same capabilities for volunteer opportunities as WordPress uses for blog posts. Since editors have the ability to add and edit blog posts, they also have the ability to add and edit volunteer opportunities. If your users with the editor role can’t edit blog posts it’s likely that either the role has been tampered with using a plugin like User Role Editor or Members, or that there is a plugin conflict of some kind.
Just to be sure, I created a default installation of WordPress, installed the plugin and tested adding and editing volunteer opportunities as an editor. I was able to do so without a problem.
Let me know if you have any other questions. If you find the problem, please also post it here as others might find it helpful.
Thanks.

In reply to: [Nonprofit Board Management] Add Existing MembersThanks for all the details Kat. I’m no expert on the roles and capabilities system for WordPress, but it’s possible the issue stems from the fact that you’re using a custom role (President) instead of a built-in WordPress role such as Author. Have you tried setting the Author role up to see if it works correctly? User Role Editor lets you reset the capabilities so you can always change the capabilities back later on.
