Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Widgets can go missing switching themes and deactivating pluginsI’m almost positive I have been able to switch themes then go back to the first theme without the widgets going to inactive. Maybe if the plugins stay activated there is no problem?

In reply to: [Ultimate Wordpress Auction Plugin] Site crashes with plugin activatedThanks for the reply, but the auction end date has passed. I pulled the winners out of the database and they contacted them directly. If they decide to do another auction a year from now I’ll revisit the issue.

In reply to: [Easy Modal] Plug in suddenly was causing the site to load slowI’m having the same issue. I tried deleting those two lines and it didn’t help. the site loads very slow with the plugin activated.

In reply to: [Ultimate Wordpress Auction Plugin] Site crashes with plugin activatedNot sure if this helps, but I tried turning on the console tool in Chrome when the site was stuck and it gave me this “[Deprecation] Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user’s experience. For more help, check https://xhr.spec.whatwg.org/.”
I will check thanks.
@mountainguy2 thanks for the information, I’ll ask them about the email. For now she decided to upgrade to their next plan up. I think eventually we will just move it away from Siteground. Some things about their hosting are great, but the CPU seconds issue is a deal breaker for me. I’ve not had this problem anywhere else.
Thanks for getting back to me, and I should’ve updated this thread, but I figured it out. I whitelisted the url, ran a test transaction, and Stripe sent me an email right away telling me that it was working.
As a test on a different site I added a custom post type using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/
The behavior was the same on the archive for the custom post type. There was a pinit button on the hover but not for the single instance of the post on the archive page.
We’re using https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-organiser/
It does work on the images within a custom post type, but I’m referring to the bottom of the post itself.
For example on this regular post there is a Pin it link http://www.bylt.org/plant-more-trees/
But on this Event post type there is no Pin it link http://www.bylt.org/events/event/fireside-chats-bylt-fthc/
I just ran a scan and it says no new issues.
Your description is accurate.
They were in /wp-content/uploads I uploaded a new image and it was immediately marked as a suspect url, so I figured that it was anything in the uploads folder. What seemed strange to me is it would only return one url, not every image that was being linked to that was in uploads. But I submitted the site to Google to be reviewed and it passed. Thanks
Actually after deleting the image and pdf I ran a wordfence scan againand it came up with a different image url than it had before. I don’t think this image changed in the ten minutes between scans. So why didn’t appear the other times?
I followed those instructions, but it didn’t fix the problem for me.
