In reply to: [Zedna Custom Dashboard Messages] conflict with Private Groups for bbPressNevermind!
Same problem occurs when trying to use Duplicate Page plugin when bbp Private Groups is activated. Duplicate Page works again when Private Groups is deactivated. With Private Groups disabling at least two different plugins on multisite, clearly the conflict is originating on their side?
Thanks for all!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Zedna Custom Dashboard Messages] errors on admin screensUpdate to 2.2.2 is working Perfectly.
Great plugin for sharing site notes with admins.
Thank you!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Zedna Custom Dashboard Messages] errors on admin screensYes I have disabled other plugins one by one but only disabling this plugin clears the errors. Those errors return instantly when I re-enable this plugin.
I also tried switching to twenty-twenty theme but errors persist, disappear when disabling this plugin, then reappear when enabled again.
Calling this Host#1:
WordPress 5.6.0
Database Version 10.3.27-MariaDB
PHP version 7.4.11
Not multisiteThis plugin is working on a second site, on a completely different host, with the same theme and mostly the same plugins with no issue:
Calling this Host#2:
WordPress 5.6.0
Database Version 5.7.32
PHP version 7.4.13
Not multisiteThis plugin is also working on a third site, at Host#1 but on a different server. It is a multisite. Same theme and mostly the same plugins. HOWEVER, this site will Not be updated to WP 5.6.0 until there is time for potential consequences of one tender plugin unique to that site. Hopefully there will be a solution to this item before I get that far ….
Thank you!

In reply to: [Zedna Custom Dashboard Messages] 2.2 does not display posts on dashboardI reported all fixed a little too soon but in the end all has worked out.
All sites except #WC updated okay from 2.1.0 to 2.2.1, dashboard messages displaying as expected. However #WC displayed an error message at the top of each older message (but not the new message added today):
Notice: Undefined offset: 0 in /home/wvccnet/public_html/wp-content/plugins/custom-dashboard-messages/custom-dashboard.php on line 148
All websites are the same theme and mostly the same plugins, everything up to date. Puzzled why only one site had this problem yet thankful only one site.I do not use dashboard message titles on any of the sites. The large font and line spacing take up too much space for my purpose. Wondering if no title could be an issue? I tried an edit-update with no text changes, no fix. I edited to add a title such as X. Error message still there, showing above title X. Edited again to remove title X and finally the error message disappeared on that one record.
I added a dummy title, then removed the title, for 25 records for this site.
Happy only one site required edits.
Thought you should know.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Zedna Custom Dashboard Messages] 2.2 does not display posts on dashboardAll fixed with version 2.2.1, thank you for the update!
Great plugin. Website owners like seeing the maintenance log on the dashboard when they log in, instantly seeing info without having to chase elsewhere to confirm their site is being maintained. Plus the log helps me trace back if something goes bump and needs a rollback.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Zedna Custom Dashboard Messages] 2.2 does not display posts on dashboardOn Dashboard Messages panel to see the list of messages:
If I ‘Quick Edit’ and update, nothing.
If I open the message and update, nothing (yes cleared cache).
I am not using titles, and all messages are private, does that make a difference?
Also, there is no bulk action to update all 70 messages, so I will have to individually update all of them? Is there an easier way?I am using Elementor, not Elementor Pro, and am not seeing how I may have referenced Elementor Pro. Elementor is intended to work with multisite per elementor.com/blog/what-is-wordpress-multisite/:
When you install a plugin, you can Network Activate it, which automatically makes it active for each individual site in the network…. Or … individual site admins can choose whether or not to activate any plugins that you’ve installed, but haven’t specifically Network Activated….
I was just letting you know that the updated environment is no longer allowing per-site activation.
Two months have passed. Several updates on WordPress, Theme, and Plugins including this one. Whatever transpired, it now works like a charm. Thank you!

Example in style sheet to show today’s date in burnt orange (will disappear on next update unless you save as a custom style sheet per instructions):
.mc-main table .current-day .mc-date {
background: #E25822 !important;
color: #FFFFFF;Per above, delete/reinstall of the plugin did not work. Trying to go back to the previously used version of BackWPup did not work either (killed the site). Deleted the plugin from cPanel to get the site back up again.
Then I noticed a clue at https://backwpup.com/backwpup-version-3-3-6-now-available-php-7-1-compatibility/ .
So I tried increasing php from 7.0 to 7.1 on the cPanel console. Then installed the current BackWPup 3.6.8 version (not 3.3.6 per title on that web page). With much relief it now works flawlessly!!!
On the WordPress Plugin page https://wordpress.org/plugins/backwpup/ it clearly states compatible with php 5.3.3 and higher. So php 7.0 should have worked but it didn’t.
If someone else is having the same problem, maybe you can try php 7.1.
Leaving this open in case others have comments.
Apologies, it was 3am brain fog. I should have clarified that the ‘upcoming events’ display completely disappeared leaving a full-length block of whitespace – which is kindof odd because that would indicate placeholder for ~22 events? I also should have corrected the reference to ‘calendar list’ in the title of this support request. I did not check the grid view as I was panicked to get it back up ASAP and get some sleep. Fortunately only needed to replace the ‘My Calendar’ folder with a previous version (i.e. SQL data did not disappear). After July 30 I could try again. Thank you, please hang in there, awesome calendar!
Update: still getting multiple daily backups for multisite sites.
The wp-config.php modification using ALTERNATE_WP_CRON as suggested by @duongcuong96 at https://wordpress.org/support/topic/multisite-backups/ did not work, at least not for multisite.
Increasing settings for Max No Retries and Max Script Execution Time did not help.
The alternate scheduling service at cron-job.org suggested by @duongcuong96 above did not work for me as, two different months, did not receive confirming email to set up an account (checked spam). Also did not receive replies to emails I sent to their contact address (checked spam). Site says no phone support, plus it is an overseas call.
Unfortunately the most recent WP upgrade still did not resolve the multiple BackWPup runs. Any hope for a fix with a BackWPup upgrade?
Otherwise very thankful for this backup plugin with depth of options. Sticking with it for awhile in hopes the over-scheduling gets sorted out.

@mamebart, it did not help. On multisite, enabling Alt Cron per link above resulted in no backups at all (there should have been two). Alt Cron now disabled, I will try bumping up the settings for Max No Retries and Max Script Execution Time.
Me too. Happens on single site. Happens on multisite. Each job runs three times, three duplicate files. Only runs once if run manually. Multisite backup jobs are controlled from the Network Admin dashboard. Each domain is scheduled to backup in turn, separately, at staggered run times. Sql files backed up daily and site files backed up once per week. Backups saved to host, email to me. Flooded with emails for quite some time. Hoped an update would clear it up but this is happening too long.
My settings retain a given number of backup files. Today I wanted to restore from a files backup. With so many multiples of each backup, all my “files” backups had been flushed away except one, thankfully the one I needed!
Will try deactivating/activating the plugin as above, will report back if it works.

In reply to: [Uber Login Logo] Major Security Risk due to abandoned pluginGreat plugin. Unfortunately I am also repeatedly bothered by the WordFence warning:
The Plugin “Uber Login Logo” appears to be abandoned (updated September 28, 2014, tested to WP 4.0.18) … It was last updated 2 years 11 months ago and tested up to WordPress 4.0.18. It may have compatibility problems with the current version of WordPress or unknown security issues.
Too bad, per previous comment this is an abandoned plugin. Was hoping for an eventual update. In time I will look for a substitute.
