Hi Mary,
I’m sorry to hear your site was compromised. Remove the users and upgrade your theme and plugins to start. The best resource is this document on cleaning a hacked site with Wordfence. It will walk you through the steps. If you have questions about it, please let me know.

Thanks!
BrianHi,
Make sure your sites meet the system requirements and have at least 128MB of RAM allocated.

If you are on a shared hosting platform, try disabling Live Traffic to see if that helps.
Finally, attempt the steps listed at this link:

-BrianHi,
Did you add or change anything on your site before the error?
Here is how to regain access to your site using FTP…
Once you regain access, try reinstalling the plugin.
Thanks,
BrianGot it. Thanks for pointing that out! I’ll pass it along.

Hi Tony,
I’m checking into this for you.

Hi,
Wordfence should be fine with HTTP or HTTPS.

Hi Michael,
Just want to confirm you are using the free version of Wordfence? I know there can be issues with Bing if you country block the US, but that is a Pro feature. Let me know and I’ll look into it more.
Thanks,
BrianHi,
Comment spam filtering is included in the Free version. The Premium version includes advanced filtering.

Let us know if you have anymore questions!
BrianI understand your frustration. There are many reasons that can cause a scan to hang. Usually, it is low system resources or a really large file the scan gets stuck on. Do you have any really large video, audio, or graphics files hosted on your site? You may also have a bad install. Let’s try removing the plugin and all table data. Once removed, please reinstall and try your scan again.

Ha. Not GB but MB…fat fingered that. Sorry. 128GB would work though 😉
You can disable it under the Options page or you can try adjusting the update interval if you want to try to leave it enabled.

Hi,
Not having enough memory may be the culprit. Make sure you have plenty of memory available. We recommend 128GB. If you’re below that, request more from your hosting company.
This link will tell you how to check the memory.
http://docs.wordfence.com/en/Wordfence_system_requirements#Checking_available_memory
Also, if your hosting account is shared, you might consider disabling Live Traffic. This frees up CPU cycles on shared and underpowered hosts.
Let us know if this helps,
BrianHi,
Try removing Wordfence and table data. This will completely remove it. Once removed, install a new copy.
Here are instructions to remove.
After you reinstall it, try enabling Falcon again. Let us know if that helps or if you still have trouble activating.

Let me see if one of our developers has any ideas.

Thanks for the kudos!
They aren’t actually able to login, correct? You’re just seeing attempted logins? If they keep changing IP’s there’s not much you can do. Maybe permanently block the IP’s in the event they reuse them. You could also block the countries that you see the most spoofed traffic coming from.
Country blocking is a premium feature though…just in the interest of full disclosure.
