In reply to: Masking Domains in SubfoldersAhhh, ok. Didn’t realize that each site had it’s own domain setting under tools. I set bikesantaclarita.com as the primary and it seems to be working (in IE at least, weird error in FireFox)!
Last issue…I can’t seem to set the domain for the primary site (blog #1). I’ve tried adding it through domains using ID 1 but it just doesn’t show up. I’ve also noticed that the Tools > Domains area is not available for the default site. Granted, I won’t be using the default blog for the foreseeable future, but I’d like to get it off the IP if possible.
Thanks for all of your help!!!

In reply to: Masking Domains in SubfoldersI’ve run into a strange issue. When trying to get back to my network admin area the Network Admin link wants to take me to http://174.129.33.66/wp-admin/network and it should be http://174.129.36.66/wp-admin/network
I’m wondering if at some point I entered the IP wrong and now there seems to be no way to change it? ALL other links seem to be ok.
Argh!

In reply to: Masking Domains in SubfoldersHere are my current domain mapping settings http://twitpic.com/5w8zup. I’m not sure which of the 5 would be the tick box to use the domain name.
As far as pointing the domain, I assume it’s working since http://bikesantaclarita resolves to http://174.129.36.66/biketaskforce. Is there something else I need to set at the registrar (GoDaddy) to get it to work?

In reply to: Masking Domains in SubfoldersI guess I should be more clear as to what I want.
I’ve set up a primary domain as santaclaritawp.net (which incidentally is not showing up anywhere, a new issue I guess). Currently, when someone types in http://bikesantaclarita.com they get http://174.129.36.66/biketaskforce/
I would like them to see http://bikesantaclarita.com.

In reply to: Masking Domains in SubfoldersThat is the very same plugin I’m using. I don’t see any setting pertaining to domain masking.
I am on my own EC2 instance.

In reply to: Sites created via admin not installing/createdNope. I was getting ready to install domain mapping and the site was hosed. Amazon says a 302 redirect was created (at some point) and I sure didn’t do it. Just trying to figure out how that would happen. Thanks for the response.

In reply to: Sites created via admin not installing/created@andrea_r Is there something in multisite that creates a 302 redirect?
