In reply to: Best WYSIWYG editor (probably asked before, but didn’t become any wiser)They are alternates for those who wish to use something else other than TinyMCE…
Regarding this plugin, we installed it and activated it but nothing worked. Zip. Nadda. Nothing. Using 2.1.2.

In reply to: Visitor CountWhat you need is a blog version of PaulM’s hack for vB. Shouldn’t be too hard to convert.

In reply to: Flash animation visible in Firefox, white in IEMicrosoft was sued several years ago for stealing another companies code that allowed the display of plugins like Flash. They then installed a new plugin on your computer which gave you the white box that you see. Now the only way to get around it is to use something like javascript. Those that turn javascript off will not have any way to see the page properly displayed while using IE.

In reply to: Complete newby questionUpload the new theme folder to URL/wp-content/themes. Then go into your ACP and look under ‘Presentation‘ and click on the theme that you want to use. The theme should contain plugins. Do you have a link to the theme so we can check it for you?

In reply to: New Plugin: AdvancedSearch LiteIt only seems to work if you search for two words. One word searches produce “Sorry, but no posts matched your criteria.”

In reply to: Using GifsSo your image is image.gif right? I ask because you said you animated the jpg, and that is not possible. Also, right click on the image to see its address. The red X means it’s not where it’s supposed to be or it simply can’t see it.

In reply to: I want a Front Page for Age CheckWell first, everyone under 18 is automatically going to click yes anyway, so don’t count on it working as planned. You could probably do what you want one of two ways. First, make a page outside of your blog which does this. If (when) they click yes it would send you to the blogs index page. The other way to do this would be to use a plugin similar to THIS one, only you won’t be placing the checkbox under the editor, you’ll be placing it on the page that checks their age. If they click the checkbox then it would allow them to enter. If they don’t then it wouldn’t. The easiest way to do it would be the first option. It would basically just be your warning text and two links.

In reply to: Replacing the default header (oh yes, I’ve searched)I’m assuming you’re trying to change the default theme/folder. If that’s the case then place your new header image here:
themes > default > images
If you name your new image kubrickheader.jpg and upload it, then it should ask you if you want to overwrite the old image, choose yes. If it doesn’t ask you to overwrite it, then check the name and extension. If you want to call the image something else (like header.gif) then you’ll need to change the name in the css file also. Make sure you clear your cache in your computer too, or it might not ‘see’ the new image. Hope that helps 🙂

In reply to: Keeping the wrapper from the header section? Here’s a screenshot which explains more. What do you mean by “put the header outside of the wrapper“?
The corners of the header need to be transparent so that the background shows through, but instead of the background showing through, the wrapper is. I don’t understand why the wrapper goes to the top of the page anyway. Shouldn’t it stop (or start) at the bottom of the header?

In reply to: Single.php and page.php? In the blog portion of your site, the headers are all links.
Shouldn’t that read ‘titles’? Doesn’t clicking on the header area always take you back to the index page?

In reply to: Header image does not displayYep, it’s missing all right :p When you upload the new one make sure you use the correct extension also, and add a blank index.htm file to your wordpress/wp-content/themes/pool/images/ folder.
