Visitor Count

    There probably is one and I just can’t find it.

    It there not a simple visitor counter that you can put in either the sidebar or the footer that does nothing but tell you the number of visitors that have been to your blog today?

    No fancy stats… just a guest counter.

    Just for today? Nothing that comes to mind. I’d just use a basic webcounter like sitemeter.com for a counter but thats for a total count.

    oh no no, I didn’t mean just for today. I meant a counter that gives you a count of visits to your blog, and nothing else. no other stats. Only visits.

    If I used something like sitemeter’s counters, which template would I place it in? Main index template? or perhaps a text widget?

    I use site meter and put the code in a text widget

    What you need is a blog version of PaulM’s hack for vB. Shouldn’t be too hard to convert.
