Thank you for using WCPT and writing in with your query.

Only time this issue comes up is if a 3rd party plugin is interfering with WCPT’s functionality.

I will suggest disabling all other plugins except WCPT and WooCommerce for a moment to check if the issue goes away. Then enable them one at a time to find out which plugin was conflicting. If it is a popular plugin and finding a replacement is not feasible, please let me know the name of the plugin and I will look into the compatibility at my end.

However, if the issue occurs even with other 3rd party woocommerce plugins disabled then it could be that some setting on your site is preventing the normal functioning. In that case I am happy to look into it for you, please write in to wcproducttable@gmail.com with your details.

You probably know this already but the other option is to simply turn off AJAX in the Button element’s settings and have the page refresh upon add to cart. This is not as user friendly but I am adding it here to complete the answer.

Yes, in fact the cart total automatically updates when you use add to cart via AJAX. This is the normal behaviour for the plugin.

Just in case this is not happening for you, another element on your site may be interfering with the functionality.

I tested it with WC Product Search plugin, and indeed there was an issue. The WC Product Search plugin modifies product queries on the site which causes WCPT to break down.

I will add a fix for this issue in the next version of the plugin.

However, for now please you can fix it on your site by using the following in your child theme’s functions.php (if you are familiar with PHP):

Just FYI – WCPT PRO‘s archive override facility lets you replace product grids with tables on the shop / category / attribute / tag / search pages automatically. However, WC Product Search is not compatible with WCPT PRO’s archive override facility because WC Product Search does not offer an option to disable AJAX. In case you think of upgrading to WCPT PRO and need advanced filters here is a compatibility list. It includes other woocommerce product filter plugins that are compatible with WCPT PRO. Leaving this here for other users as well.

I hope you take a moment to go through my response as well.

I am sorry to hear that you found the free version “useless” (though, I did not understand part of your comment – “Paid Versions, too many are much better”).

I do not want WCPT Lite to come across as one of those plugins that use the free version just to get attention for the PRO version without delivering substantial value to the community. Those are annoying!

This is why, since v1.0 I have tried hard to include bulk of the most demanded facilities in the free version itself, and kept only the more niche facilities for the PRO version. Along with this, I provide regular support for the Lite version as well.

Please check out the Lite version’s demo tables here. As you can see, the free version is capable of powerful and responsive results as well. This is why 1000s of users are happily using WCPT Lite on their sites and have left kind reviews because of the value it delivers to them.

Thus, I am glad to say the plugin response has been quite positive so far!

As you can understand, unfortunately, it is not possible to provide every single facility for free in the Lite version. Otherwise, with no revenue coming it, it will not be possible to further develop, maintain and support a plugin like WCPT which needs significant time and effort.

Since every facility won’t be free, it means that there will be a small number of users who will be disappointed at not finding their exact desired feature in the free version. Accordingly, some of them may find the free plugin “useless” as it does not have the facility they specifically wanted.

Even if you cannot find the exact feature that “you” want in the Lite version, I hope you can appreciate that the plugin continues to offer a lot of value to many other Lite users.

Right now the official WC product add-ons plugin is the only one that is comptiable with WCPT PRO. Other product addons are not offering the requisite API to make them compatible.

Hopefully this changes in the future so we can have more product add-ons compatible with WCPT PRO.

In WCPT PRO there is a facility called archive override that can be used to replace the product grid on your shop / search / category pages with specific tables that you choose. If you have enabled this facility for the Search page then you will get your product search results in a table that you chose, instead of a grid. Now you can provide the user with the WooCommerce default search widget on any page and when they conduct a search they will be redirected to the Search page where they will see their results in a table. I believe this is effectively similar to the result you desire.
